Weekends are more Browsers?

Does anyone else notice that on the weekend sales tend to be slower. You'd think people would generally have more free time to surf the forums.

I guess that's partially the problem; I find on weekend the views although slightly fewer per hour but overall substantial...only thing is they aren't converting as well as say on a Monday to Friday

Any reason for this?

I don't think you can make such a blanket statement - every niche is going to be different.

WillR is right. Traffic will vary with the niche.

For example, if you sell office supplies, I would bet weekdays will be larger traffic days than weekends. Not as many people are going to be inclined to search for office supplies on the weekend.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

      Agree!

But I think he's specifically referring to the "Warrior Forum" here.

And to answer the question, yes, the sales here are generally slower on weekends because people are unwinding and they're in the mood to spend time with their family, go out with friends - basically do anything but 'work'.

I'd bet on any weekday except Monday (cause you just got done with the weekend and of course, there's the Monday Blues problem) and Friday (cause people are revving up for the weekend, looking forward to 'fun')

      Just my two cents.

I know I do most sales Tues-Fri. I imagine results will vary.

I supposed people are not glued to their computer on the weekends. They could have gone on a weekend road trip or on a shopping expedition at the mall or mini-vacation to relax.

And maybe they still browse through your site on the weekends and compare it what they are looking at when they're at the mall or shopping center.

I find that email inquiries slow down over the weekend for my SEO business.

But as always you get some people who only ever email you on weekends and others that only email throughout the week.

This varies from person to person as well as niche to niche but yes, overall things seem slower over the w/e for me too.

    Not that I am complaining
