How to create a Paypal payment form

Hi,

I am trying to create a paypal payment form on my website (wordpress based site)

I have created a Paypal button inside my business Paypal account to take a specific amount of payment but I want to create a form whereby the visitor can enter the amount of the payment they are making - just like a donation button really.

I can't see how to do this inside the Paypal account.

Can you tell me what the form code should be please? I want visitors to be able to pay invoices they are sent via email - very low volume of sales and it is a service being sold so no electronic delivery is required.

There is a "Donation Button" listed under the "Create Buttons" in my PayPal account. It's in the same column as the others.

If it isn't available in your account maybe you can just post your email address and have people send money through PayPal to your email address.

Hi,

If you create a donation button then on the payment page at Paypal it puts words like: Enter amount of donation - and it isn't a donation that we are asking for so don't want to mislead people.

  That statement in the OP may have lead to the confusion.
  
  I am not quite clear on what you actually want to do.
  
  Have you contacted PayPal (not easy I know) to ask the question?

Hi,

I'll try and make it clearer. I want to be able to send invoices to customers and they will be for different amounts. I then want them to be able to go to a webpage on my site and enter the amount of the payment they need to make and then pay it through paypal. Just giving them an email address means they need to have a Paypal account and some people won't have one and just want to use credit card.

The invoices will all be for different amounts and don't want to have to create a new web page for each customer.

You can actually send an invoice without having a business account. Mine is a personal account, and I send invoices a few times a week for my article writing services.

Then just go to your paypal account and hit the request money tab and fill it in. Then it will send a payment request for whatever amount you put in there (which you can change each time) and then they can pay it via credit card if they want.

I wanted to automate the process and not have to login to Paypal each time to generate an email invoice. Just found a Wordpress plugin which does the job perfectly:
