As an affiliate for WSO Warrior Pro offers, am I ok to do this?

Hello warriors

I wonder if anybody could help me

I'm setting up a squeeze page at the moment and i want to put a OTO behind it to monetize my funnel. I would like to use a WSO (which I am promoting as an affiliate through Warrior Plus) as the OTO

Now if I simply take them straight away to the wso thread after they opt in, some of the people may be confused if they haven't heard of the warrior forum etc.

What i would like to do is put the wso advert onto a webpage hosted on my site and then simply link to the payment button using my affiliate link (therefore the visitor would never actually come into contact with the warrior forum)

Has anyone done this? Is it ethical? I did wonder because i'm effectively copying someone elses advert and putting it onto my own site (even though i am only doing so to sell their offer as an affiliate)

There is no affiliate payment link. All affiliate links lead to the WSO thread. If you don't send people to the WSO thread, they don't get cookied and you don't get paid.

      thank you for the reply.

you can do this though and I have tested that it works. If you go to the wso thread, click on the payment button and then add your affiliate id to the end of the link then it works.

      Thanks

Just because the payment page loads doesn't mean you are going to get paid.

You already know the answer to that. If it was okay, you wouldn't have to ask. You're asking because you know it's NOT okay, and you want someone to give you permission to do it so it's not your fault because so-and-so told you it was okay.

Plus, if it was okay, it would work.

Ok, so the answer is to ask the person in question, thanks.

If it does work- and you are not misrepresenting the offer- you should be good to go. A lot of people "re-write" CB salespage and use their own copy which they redirect to the order page.

Sometimes, the offer might be of real high value, but the sales page is crap or/and does not suit your list's tone- and making a new page should be ok as long as the proper payment process is followed.

Be on the safe side, and ask for approval with the product owner, but so long as you are making them money, it should not be so hard :-)

That's my take on it. Good luck :-)

I think the best answer would be to send the product creator a message
and ask them if it's alright with them if you do this.

Explain to them your reason for doing so. In fact some of them may already
have a ready salespage for you to use.

However, you might not realize this but one of the reason why WSO's convert
better is because people are able to see real life reviews of warriors right below
    the salespost.

It makes things better. So it isn't really bad to send them straight to the
    WSO page.

But ClickBank understandably requires them to have the vendor's permission, to do so.

    And
they're not setting an affiliate cookie on their prospective customers' computers, so they get paid only on immediate sales, not on all the people who come back and buy later.

    I'm "just saying".

It isn't even legal - never mind ethical. Clearly you'd be breaching someone's copyright, if nothing else, by doing that without permission, regardless of whether or not it actually works. Whenever you copy any text you didn't write yourself onto a page of your own website, without its author's permission, you're breaching someone's copyright, no? That reality isn't changed by the fact that your motivation may involve helping them to make some sales.

I did mention about asking for the permission first- in the first post itself

and just so that people don't get me wrong again: I was talking about re-writing a salespage is OK to make sure it suits your email prospects with permission- not copying the page per-se without one .

Here's my argument why I support this:
Many people would prefer to stick to their own sales page, because they consider the page itself is a huge leak (people might stray to other offer, might might wait to read other people's comments, they can't control what their readers are reading i.e comments, arguments, that becomes a setback to sale)- hence they would like to control the sales message through their own salespage.

Sure ... I understand this. (One of the most successful people I know does this). Am not disputing what you said at all, Suthan - simply adding a couple of points of which I know many people are unaware. A lot of people imagine that if they send traffic directly to the order-page, on ClickBank, they're still using ClickBank's cookies and will still be paid on "later sales, for 60 days, in the usual way". They won't.

That would be infringement of copyright. It's similar to someone framing one's sales page. One affiliate did that to my sales page, years ago, and when I politely asked him to remove my site copy from his site, he refused to do so claiming that he was doing me a favour since he was merely promoting my site.

I appealed to Clickbank and within 24 hours, not only was that site down but Clickbank wrote to me to say that they had banned the affiliate from their site, too, since what he was doing was against Clickbank's own TOS, too!

I had neither expected nor wished such harsh action (banning) to be taken against the affiliate by Clickbank but it goes to show that it's never worth cutting corners. If in doubt, ask the vendor - not a forum member.

Well, I just found this under the Help/Support on Warrior Plus:

Can I link directly to my affiliate WSO from my own sales page?

    Solution
    Yes.

All you have to do is add your affiliate id (the number) to the end of the regular buy button link found in the WSO listing.

So it looks like it is allowed.
