Freelancer sucks but it has the largest audience. Elance gives better profits imo. Odesk i am not familliar with.

Again, Freelancer sucks the most among all.

vworker is the best. I have done over 50 jobs on that site and it is easier to communicate. Elance you have to use credits so it isn't "free" to bid.
vworker is a site you can ask without bidding.
You also get some people willing to pay reasonable rates for good quality work.

I use odesk, and their services is great. Free to use, and also find lot of freelancers there too.
So, you really need to be on your feet to win a contract.

Just make sure that when looking for an employer on freelancer, it should have reviews or stars. As there are so many experiences that they don't get paid. And for Odesk, also make sure you build your profile and verify it, so that you can apply the maximum job applications allowed. Elance, more of the contracts opened are for SEO, programming, only a little of data entry.

As per experience, I'd still choose Freelancer, its easy to get data entry jobs and virtual assistant jobs, because you need not build your profile unlike Odesk. Just be very sure to choose the right employer, to avoid unpaid contracts.

If you're just looking for outsourcing sites, oDesk isn't awful, I suppose. Why not try to sell your services on your own, though, instead of working through an outsourcing site? The rates they offer are usually really low, they take a cut, they have so many hoops to jump through...
