Okay I've been running my blog since November and there was one thing that was constantly bugging me.

My blog title was always in front of my post title - no matter what. By no means am I a SEO genius but I was sure it was affecting my Google ranking. Here I was crafting my killer headline only to me snuffed by the blog title.

Okay - what was the solution?

<title><?php wp_title(' '); ?> <?php if(wp_title('', false)) { echo ' | '; } ?> <?php bloginfo('name'); ?></title>

I think a lot of people who don't understand code would run into your same problem.

Yea, WP default does not put that title first. The best thing for people not understanding code is to installed the ALL in ONE SEO plugin. Then on the admin screen..you can literally move items around as you want without touching the PHP.
