Why Are This Kind of Extension not Valued

Why is it that domain names with extentions like .uk.net, .us.com, jyp.com etc are not valued even if the they are a one word domain name?

On the other hand, .co.uk, .me.uk and the like are valued. To me they dont look any different.

Maybe I dont know something and that is why I brought up this topic.

    simple - because people are not familiar with them and will not remember what to type.

    It's the same reason people like .com - if your customer forgets the domain extension - that's the one they'll try first.
