3 Secret Ingredients For Success!

Here are some of my personal habits that I love when it comes to generating new ideas, sparking my creativity, and improving my work quality and speed. I present you three of the essential factors that I have to do in order to maintain my standard. Based on my own experience, I can state that these three simple things helped me to pin point myself in the right direction when it comes to running a quality business.

Here we go!

A Clean Room

Yes people! Studies have proven that you will work better in cleansed rooms. Let's face it, look around you, what do you see? Papers all over the floor, dust on your PC and other disorganized nonsense laying around? If your room is clean you are doing a good job, and you probably feel really energized while working at home. Since working in clean neat rooms can take your energy to another level. I really recommend to clean your room once or perhaps twice a week. And I already hear some of you saying that you don't want to waste time on because you think your time should be invested into your business first, right?

It all has to do with being organized, so don't only clean your working space, but also clean your computer. As an Internet Marketer you will find it come in handy to know where you've placed stuff in past, and to find them at quicker pace. Cleaning your workspace, or room, is like being organized. Being organized saves time eventually, giving you the opportunity to invest more time into your business, And perhaps even more important, working in a clean place will keep you healthy and more focused.

We often hear comparisons between our homes, read rooms, and a temple. There can be no doubt that part of the reason the temple is a place of revelation is because it is a place of cleanliness. And because "only the home can compare to the temple in sacredness" why shouldn't we work to make our living environment similar to that of a temple?

Plants

Yes! Green living things sitting your desk or behind your window, plants! Let's see what plants actually can do for us. Plants improve our productivity, our workplace satisfaction, they reduce stress, increase creativity, and probably most important; they help keeping us alive! I am not talking about these fake greenish plastic plants, but it still could work though! Placebo effect anyone? But to be honest I would just go with real plants to be sure you reap the benefits. Just read the outcome of the following four studies:

Research study completed at Lawrence and Berkeley National Laboratory, Berkeley, California, verified that 40 percent of all sick days are related to poor indoor air quality. Improved indoor air quality provides a positive impact on health and decreases sick days.
European research and studies reveal that plants produce positive emotions and improve focus in office environments. In these studies, subjects exhibited a more upbeat, creative state of mind when plants were present.
In addition to increased creativity, in a study conducted at Washington State University, subject reaction times to computer program were 12 percent faster when plants were present. Blood pressure readings taken in the same study showed a drop in stress levels within 5 minutes of visual exposure to live plant settings.
Increased creativity, lowered stress levels, faster response time, increased workplace satisfaction, this increase in productivity can ultimately translate into millions of dollars in final revenue earnings.

In the home environment, live plants not only clean the air, they provide stress relief and create a nurturing space for your daily lives. Your home is your sanctuary, a place to unwind, relax, and enjoy your family and friends. With an interior plant scaping design in place at your home, it enhances your living space and provides a calm retreat so you can recharge.

And that's why I have two epic plants staring at me all of the time, I help them with nurturing, giving them water and the works, and they provide me with all these insane benefits! Awesome right? If you haven't got a plant staring at you, I strongly suggest you do so. I will greatly benefit you and ultimately your business!

Meditation

Yes, be in The Now, be still! Take some time for yourself to reflect on yourself; your actions, your thoughts, your ideas and beliefs. Did you know that meditation can reduce stress and help you relax? And it can also give you so much more. These are some of the benefits that daily meditation can give you. Spending 15 minutes in quieting the mind and focusing on the present moment, makes us more relaxed and effective decision makers.
It could help you to reduce stress by teaching us to switch off from the worries that can plague us through the day. How often do you find yourself victim to your own negative thoughts? Through meditation we can bring our unruly mind under control. This creates peace of mind and enables us to achieve what we want to. Through meditation we gradually improve our powers of concentration; this focus can be used for both meditation, and also other activities we engage in. Meditation has a lot more to offer than the common person likes to think.

No I don't spend 15 minutes a day, personally I meditate two - three hours a week. And only if I really feel like doing so. It helped me to overcome many question, gaining answers and solution to questions, challenges and problems in my personal life as for my business.

That's it people, thought I should share some of my secret ingredients here. Any other tips are obviously welcome!

Kind regards,

Steven

Love your post! I totally dig the plants part. I think, they can be refreshing anywhere you put them. I also have to try my best to clean my room and to meditate. Hahaha.

How about music? Don't you consider it as you know one of the keys to success? It could inspire people to activate their creative minds. What do you think?

TOTALLY agree with music! When I really want to plug in and get down to business I throw my headphones on and go to town. This helps eliminate tons of distractions and before I know it a few hours have passed and I've done some legitimate damage on my to do list!

It all depends. My problem with listening to music while working, is that I begin to sing with the songs, ultimately perfoming a concert infront of the mirror!

        Could work for others!

      Hello Penny,

Hope you had a great read. You really should at least try some of these suggestion and see if they work for you as well.

Music is a good thing, but I am working in a still room lately and I really love it. If you do plan to put up some music, make sure that it aligns with the energy you want to vibrate. I know this could sound a bit hippie-ish, listen to positive songs that will get your mind tuned into the things you really want.

      What music do you suggest?

      Cheers,

      Steven

This sounds really weird haha but lately I've had success with the Tron:Legacy Soundtrack (Daft Punk) & The Social Network Soundtrack (Trent Rezzner).

I like to stick with instrumental because lyrics can sometimes distract me.

That's my point exactly, lyrics keep me singing all day! And I know exactly what you are talking about when it comes to Daft Punk, it's like you take a pill of energy and only want to get going. The only problem being for me, is that I leave out the details!

I LOVE music but maybe too much as I find I have to have all music off to be productive and creative.
