If You're New And You're Struggling...

Hi Warriors,

Just want to put some encouragement out there for anyone who is new at this whole internet marketing thing and you feel like you're drowning.

We've all been there. And sometimes I still feel like this is all just too hard and I'm better off working a J.O.B. and giving up on all of this altogether.

Then I step away from the computer and give myself a much needed reality check.

The reality is, you're doing something incredibly brave here by stepping off the beaten path and pursuing something more than many others have settled for. You should be proud of yourself for that! The world needs more people like you to have the guts to start out on your own and share your unique value to meet the needs that someone else just can't meet as well as you can.

So stop being yourself up because you're not making as much money as you'd like to make online, or that you don't know everything that there is to know about online marketing.

Heck, if you're making ANY money online at all I know at least 50 people who would bite your hand off to get it. And even if you're not making money YET, you ARE going to get there. It's only a matter of time.

Every single one of us who is making money from their online efforts right now has experienced what it's like to not have a clue. Every one of us has gone through that feeling of wondering if we're ever going to make any money. And every one of us has gone on to experience that sweet feeling of making that first sale. And you will too.

It all comes from asking the right questions, learning the right principles of online marketing and business and applying, applying and applying even if you feel like you don't know what you're doing. Heck, I just spent the past week installing Amember to my site and I sure didn't know what I was doing at all. But now it's working (I think) and I'm feeling good about myself.

Creating a healthy income online doesn't happen in a matter of days or even weeks, look at some of the people on here and you'll see that it took them years to get to where they are now. But why define "success" as making X dollars online? Celebrate your achievements one day at a time because it's the little things you do day by day by day that will take you to that X dollar figure, and you'll have a lot more fun along the way.

If you don't give up, you WILL get there.

Have a great day!
#struggling

Great post, it's so easy to get discouraged because this stuff takes time! Think of it like an asset, every day that you work on a website is making it more and more valuable in the future.

If it were so easy to make millions online, everyone would be doing it. The principles themselves aren't hard, it just takes work to implement them which is where most people give up! The ones who stick around are the real winners!

    Spot on Chad!

Exactly, what we're building is an asset, and I'm glad you brought it up. It's not just our sites that are assets but our marketing funnels, lists, products and relationships as well! It's something that really snowballs over time, at the start it may not net you the returns that you expect, but if you keep on rolling that snowball down the hill it's going to be HUGE in no time.

Awesome post! It's unfortunate how many people give up because of the fact they just don't hit the bullseye the first time

I think focus is a real strength, one I wish I had more of, I know other marketers that can focus on one goal and produce content as easy as breathing. I have been in this business for 7 years and keeping focus has been my major challenge.

Luckily I have never given up, had plenty of times when I have been fed up with progress but I have always known this is what I want to do, what I'm best at.

Even now I am easily distracted from my current project by other sideline projects and new ideas.

So if there is one thing I have learned it is to assess where you are, decide where you want to go and stick with the program and keep at it until you have finished before you move on to the next thing. It sounds simple but it rarely is!

I have been a Warrior member since 2006 but after a few years I had to keep away due to it being such a distraction from my work. It's only now that I've got a handle on things that I can allow myself some time in the evenings to come back and interact without getting carried off on another amazing path! Always fun, not always productive. :-)

Great post! There is so much hype around IM - every new product launch tries to outdo the last one with their "you can make a million dollars by tomorrow with zero work" type pitches. The result is that people (understandably) actually expect this to happen, and then get demoralised and give up when it doesn't.

There is a great income and lifestyle to be had through internet marketing, but it does not happen overnight, and you must stick with it. Have faith in yourself, have a clear plan, and follow it through. Every day do something to take your business forward, and you are one step closer to your goal.

People honestly just need to understand that they are going to get scammed online. At some point in time, it will eventually happen to you. But that doesn't mean that every WSO posted is a scam - in fact, Warrior Forum seems to be one of the few places that doesn't have a ton of scams floating around it.

    Great post!
Sometimes people just can't make it because they ask the wrong questions. They jump in on products that promises four, five, even six figures income.
They ask questions such as "How can I make $6000/month?"

I think a better question is
"$6000/mo is $200/day. How can I make $5/day and scale it up to $200/day??"

If you know how to make $5 / day, you can do it again 40 more times and you will get $6000 per month.

Think big, start small, act now.

As a newbie who IS struggling I would like to thank you for a great post. Someone who is a lot smarter than I am once told me: If you quit you will never win but if you suck it up and carry on you might win.

Nothing wrong with having a job until the online efforts pay off, but keeping at it and staying focused is the key. Too many side paths and you get no where. Like chasing the end of the rainbow. Buy a prism instead.
