Links not showing up in Wordpress blog

Everytime I try to post a link on my Wordpress blog, I have to fight with it.

Should I not be able to just enter a link like "<a href="http://tinyurl.com/6sjhd5</a>" because that doesn't work.

I've also tried clicking the link button and entering the URL which also produces a blank. Am I doing something wrong?

    HI Mike... if you are using the exact code above then you are doing it wrong..

    You need to enter

    Code:
    <a href="http://www.blahblahblah.com">Text Or URL again here</a>

    Thanks Jay. I had just figured it out by throwing some text at the end of the link and even that worked.

    Man I need to get more keen with the HTML!
