Hey guys sorry I haven`t been on here lately anyways ive been doing some forum posting any tips on how to get some done fast? I am trying to provide the best and unique content to this forum for a client of mine and well, I just would like some tips on how to do it fast!

Also the forum is slow which means that no one really replies to the posts I make or comment on ... how do I make all the posts on the forum if no one is starting a conversation to add to it or disagree with it? ... i guess its making my job a lot harder thats all...

    Hi Tony

I have done forum posting before. Firstly Google Search becomes your best friend and secondly try setting up more than one user. Start having conversations with yourself. Just use different email addresses for each user. As this is a forum that belongs to your client you should not have a problem. Just tell him what your plan is.

It's the only time you can talk to yourself without anyone thinking you are crazy

This would probably explain why there is so much garbage
      posted on forums these days.
Not to mention it's not very ethical.
What ever happened to being yourself?

You are missing the point. This is for new forums only to give them a boost. If the owner has requested multiple users (with specific instructions on what to post) then how could it be unethical.

Busy forums like the WF don't need it. Imagine if you logged in to the WF and saw that the last post was one you made yesterday. Would you stick around?

        Nope. Bye-bye forum.

This is a classic, and very common mistake that I see a lot.

People start forums, expecting a flood of traffic and members, then become discouraged when no one shows up.

This can be prevented if they put the horse before the cart, instead of the other way round.

You need to BUILD A LIST FIRST of people that share the same interest!

Once you have a decent sized list, THEN launch your forum.

Done this way, you wont need to hire people to post garbage and fake memberships, which in the end doesnt help anybody.

Thats very true but would the client get upset that I am faking another user or would they support me on this? I mean that is a great idea and all but Im scared the client would think im cheating to just get their money faster?

I don't think what she said would be a problem once you explain to the client how hard it is to get a forum going and what strategies are need to give it a kick start.

I am here trying to get a forum up and running for my site at this very moment.

    Best regards

Most clients who pay people to get their forums going often ask for multiple users. If he has only hired you then you need to explain to him that it takes more than one to have a conversation He will understand that.

It depends on the person doing the forum posting. One poster with several accounts might be doing above average posting. If you are doing it casually without using proxies, it will be obvious at least to moderators that it is the same person.

This site has been recommended highly by a couple of people here. It was at least a couple of years ago, so that could have changed either way by now. It could be worse, or better.

All of that time spent in fake posting should be put to use in some type of quality marketing.
If you have money to invest, AdWords is quick and easy.
If you don't, write (good) articles. They can be re-purposed as real forum posts.
Paid forum posts? Ugh... That explains a lot.
I was going to remain under the covers here and duck my head, but being in a position where i have some time to put into a forum my lines of attack were to use paid forum posting ( the service listed above ) and use that in combination of ads to the forum as a double shot of effort.

From past i can say the service above is outstanding and well run with very very high quality output that really puts most paid stuff to shame / I used fiverr for a while and that wasted bucket loads of $ as I had to dump almost every post, they were complete rubbish.

As for posting myself then replying to myself I just cant get my head around talking to myself so thats out.

My plan was a combo as above / good paid forum posts / promotion and with the intention of when its floating to quietly remove the starter posts and people, but i am open to any or all views here and appreciate the views given and would any further info on non paid posting options.

In the other point of view it seem a little unethical, but I hope this is not the way our forums here run. I think if you post a very good point let's say personal tips to enhance or improve IM strategies, commenters will flood and some of them will thanked you too.

Perhaps you should suggest to your client that their money might best be spent on building a list, or marketing the forum to some degree.

It may be a better idea to actually raise the quality of the website so that other people want to get a back link from the forum in the form of signature, and in turn start posting in your new forum. Be genuinely reasonable in moderation and not be too harsh. And the forum should grown with time. It will take time. There is no short cut to success.

I would love to jump in here, while some clients are boosting new forums not all clients are. We personally deal with clients on both ends, some want extra content to stir up a dead forum others want to be able to launch a site with content to get the new visitors moving in the correct directions. At least 80% of our clients use our services along with other marketing tactics to do what they need for their campaign. Just because you have a website does not mean you are great at content, or have the time, or the patience.

Article clients use our services for blogs, press releases and SEO purposes. Our writers do not post "junk" as I have seen comments randomly on WF about some of our competitors - this is why we have been around longer and are more successful with a higher reputation.

I would love to hear the real debate of how what our writers do is "unethical" when tons of people here on WF are posting spun articles. Our writers from forum posting, to large content are paid for a service that we are providing with our company to our clients - all work is original and never spun. If you think that is "unethical" yet a spun article recycled 100x over is okay then I would really love to sell you a bridge.
