Hi Fellow warriors,

After spending a while outsourcing projects, im now learning to do things for myself!! however I can now see why I outsource most things!

I have created a product, and just so I can say I did it myself I want to learn all aspects. This is gonna make me sound like a complete numbnuts but im so frustrated trying to create a sales letter/page. I dont wish to use my normal outsourcer but think I may have to unless anyone can point me in the direction of some real basic info! I need sales pages for dummies step by step, and for that matter is there any good wso's on creating a whole sales funnel? like I said I need very easy to follow step by step instructions as if it was for someone who has zero tech knowledge!!!

If anyone could point me in the direction I would be so grateful and I guess this is a good lesson for any noobs reading this post! Dont get everyone to do everything for you cos 2 years ive been doing this, I make fairly good money but now feel like a complete newbie!

Cheers guys & gals

Yeah... I would go insane if I stopped outsourcing.

BUT, I would never outsource my salesletters!

Check the Copywriting Forum... You will find many great posts, like this one.

Also,go out and buy some of the top guides on the market. Unless you are driving the absolute highest forms of traffic, your salesletter is on thing you do NOT want to mess-up on.

    As for a complete funnel, that is easy... Freebook -> Paid Guide $97 -> MP3/CD Set $495 -> Seminar $997 -> Continuous Instruction $4997 or $500/mo

well writing copy is a skill in it's self. if you buy 100 courses on copywriting you will learn 100 different ways to write copy.

I have been studying copy, and persuasion for almost 5 years and it is a very valuable skill to learn. I am going to reccomend a product to you that I think takes off a lot of the learning curve and gets a quick resut while teaching some key basics.

I am not an affiliate for this product, I think it's along the lines of what your looking for.

    Stopwatch Copywriting

I would get that and read a book called irresistible offer by Mark Joyner and master those two things before you start looking at some of the other options out there.

I always look at competitors sites to get ideas or just use the things I like from them. You can also use their structuring as a template for your work. Its a vast wealth of knowledge.

I think so too, anything you want to do with sales copy has already been done, look at others and rehash to suit your situation

There are a few fill-in-the-blanks sales letter products but writing
copy is not something you learn overnight like installing a Wordpress
blog. But still using a guide or template is better than nothing at
    all.

Dan Kennedy's Ultimate Sales Letter is about the simplest step-by-step
you'll get at the cheapest price.

I totally agree and know how you feel. When I owned my offline business, I outsourced just about everything to promote online.

Now, that I've found out how to do this stuff, I can't believe what I paid for all of it.

There is a lot of free information on this forum including squeeze/sales pages.

    Good luck.

LOL... I think to have just unveiled my reason for having not reached success (yet), as I am going nuts trying to learn it myself!

After 7 months, I can honestly say the sales funnel and squeeze page was definitely a bit tricky. Having just now set up my AR to redirect new subscribers to a custom HTML page (on-site) to tell them to confirm their email, then those who do redirect to the Thank-you and product download page.

I think it's safe to say, a sales page is a bit easier.

I bought some templates from Oki Trice which are great for the overall look and feel for a basic eBook or digital product. His pricing is fairly inexpensive. The site (*not an affiliate link is (Minisite911.com) -but i'm not sure if he's still selling the template bundle I purchased 4-5 months back.

However, if I had a product, and didn't want to outsource it, I would create a page that had an "Impact Headline" and proceed to... "what this product can do for you." - A simple page, with the product displayed, maybe some screenshots, teaser video, or 'sneak peak' into what it offers w/an image or two and a PayPal button.

Truth be told, I have learned how to do all this, and still keep refraining from creating a real product, as at every turn I realize there's much to learn. Perhaps, I too have reaached a point, when time and money permits, the option to outsource is becoming more and more tempting.

So I wouldn't say you were a numbnut, I would take the cake, and perhaps the crown on that one, as my stubbornness has prevented me from really exploring that option.

Finally, I cheat an use Optimize Press for my squeeze and sales pages, but if I were to do one from scratch...

    1.) Product Header/Image
    2.) Powerful Headline
3.) How can this benefit YOU (*The reader) *sub-headline
4.) Sales Copy - min. of 5 Bullet Points
5.) Paragraph or two on each benefit/bullet point
6.) Scarcity (Minimal...not a big fan) Limited Time Only...
7.) Guarantee Banner -Risk Free 30-60-90 Days?
    8.) Pay-Pal Button
9.) Legal- Privacy- Disclaimer -TOS -Clickbank/Amazon/Google etc...FTC Compliant
    10.) *Optional - Include Bonus Product(s)
    11.) Charge $17 - $27 minimal
    12.) Recruit Affiliates 50-75% Commissions

Perhaps, not a perfect approach, but if you know basic HTML, or can get a hold of a "Minisite template" cheap, you can edit, add, and create it with KompoZer, a wysiwyg web editor.

Meanwhile, I hope that my rambling can be of some help.

Best wishes for your product launch!

    All the Best,
