Clickbank charging me to send another check?

Has anyone ever experienced this with clickbank? My last check never came in the mail, and when I contacted their support they claim they have to deduct $20 for a cancellation fee before they can issue me another check?

How is this my fault? Here is the conversation with them:

ME:

I am writing in regards to the last paycheck that was supposedly mailed to me on
sept. 28th. I have not received this check in the mail yet and wanted to ensure
that there is nothing preventing me from receiving this check.

Thank you for your help

In this instance, youraccount will pay out with the next available pay period regardless of yourselected payment threshold amount. Please let us know how you like to proceed.Kind regards,ClickBank Accounting----------

I want to make sure I am understanding this correctly...Since I did not receive my check in the mail for the money I have madeClickbank, I am getting deducted $20 to have this problem which is in no way myfault resolved?I am hoping this is a misunderstanding on my part, because there is nojustification for charging me (your customer) for failing to deliver acheck. Please help clarify this for me. Thank you

Once we postmark the check and deliver it to the post office we have no controlover whether or not the check reaches you. It is then is the hands of the postalservice. We are unable to track a specific piece of mail. If any mail is everreturned to us as undeliverable, we make every effort to contact the accountholder to confirm what address the check should be sent to and resend it at ourcost. However, when a check is not in our possession, we must complete a stop paymentwith our bank. Our bank charge us the $20. This amount, and no additional charge,is subtracted from the total when we reissue the check to cover the cost of thestop payment request. The reissue process and fee are stated in our paycheckpolicy. I encourage you to review our full policy at the following: http://www.clickbank.com/accounting.htmlPlease let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Thank You,

It's a pain in the neck.

But it isn't their fault, either. It does cost them something to issue another check. (I find it hard to believe that their bank charges them $20. I think they should probably charge $5, not $20, myself, but there it is).

Checks are a far from ideal way to be paid by ClickBank. The sooner you can switch to direct debit or wire transfer the better, really. (I know that's easy to say and it depends where you live).

One of the banks I use charges $35 to stop payment on a check, so that amount is not unusual - probably lower than what a lot of other companies would charge considering that it costs them in manpower to reissue a check.

I believe that's exactly what Clickbank's bank is charging them. The banks are now totally out of control, and not satisfied with the billions they've already ripped off from the public, are now hell bent on jacking up every single "customer charge". After all, they have to make the million $$$ bonuses they pay their directors somehow ...

Yes! Its really painful...but it is in their TOS....And we all have already agreed with that...Just ensure about your postal address given to clickbank...it should be as clear as possible...

It is also advisable to get payment through bank transfer instead of a check.

    Hi!

It is all by the regulations you just had some bad luck. I once payed $62 for a check because the bank said so. What can you do? They have a monopoly.

It is not just the cost of reissuing a check (which they are not charging you for) it is the cost to get the lost check stopped (to make sure that no one can cash it!).

Imagine what could happen if they didn't stop the lost check!

I agree it isn't your fault that it got lost - but it isn't theirs either.
