What's wrong with Clickbank sales??

I don't know what to do...I've been getting traffic and sales to my websites on several different niches on Clickbank products up through December 2008 and early January 2009. Now my sales are down to nothing for about ten days but I'm still getting the same amount of traffic to the websites.

I've gone to some other forums & they say that they believe that Clickbank doesn't always give the affiliates credit for their sales. They say that Clickbank tends to "shave" the profits for themselves...

And from what I've been reading about Clickbank and the rumor that they tend to take the profits for themselves after the affiliate makes some sales does makes me wonder and feel suspicious.

Or is it because of the economy? Don't know what to think!

All I know is that Clickbank makes it difficult to contact and discuss matters with them.
I am so discouraged. I have only been doing these websites for the past year, so I fairly new at this. I also feel like I've done all the work of building my review websites for nothing now.

Wish there was an alternative for information products besides paydotcom.

If anyone has any opinion on this and Clickbank's reputation, let me know! I feel like dropping the promotion of their products and start over again.

Try changing your user ID - open up a new account and change your hoplink links.

I will change my hop ID & see what happens. But I know that I have read that commissions from Clickbank can be hijacked. I guess I'll wait it out and see what happens with a new ID.

I like Clickbank even though I've not had that many sales. I've been successful with them more than any of the others.

Hi, it really depends on the kind of offers you are making. CB sales have been pretty slow lately but not as bad as you have described. You need to relook at covering a wider spectrum of niches. Never put all your eggs in one basket.

CB have a good reputation and have been around for a while they couldn't risk "creaming the top" because if somebody noticed their business would be finished, so i wouldn't worry about that side of it.

I would def. suggest changing your hop links and see if that helps. Another thing you could do is check them yourself a couple times a day. Go through the process of buying up until you get to the actual pay page and see if your affilate name shows up at the bottom.

Check and see if there has been a big drop in gravity for them as well. I know a few products took quite a dive in gravity the last month.

That said, I use clickbank and my sales are way up.

    Clickbank Update:

My sales have been fine from my sites until 10 days ago. Then, all sales dropped off--same amount of traffic too. I was and I am suspicious.

A few hours ago, I had a friend purchase a product through my affiliate link on my website. Yes, just as I suspected---No credit to my account. Clickbank supposedly is supposed to post the amount in my account around two minutes after the transaction takes place.

All I know is that I'm not going to let this rest until I find out what's going on...
