Great interviews will real live successful membership site owners
I found something very interesting - neither guy likes the recurring payment. Both found that people were not comfortable with auto monthly charges on their credit card. Rather, they do one-time fees and collect more up front.
I was originally going to charge $49/mo. I may now charge an annual fee of $149 and a lifetime of $499 (or something like that). I have no idea if $149 is just too much for someone to commit too, but the materials on my site are valuable and come from 10 years from my consulting practice.
Do you think the recurring charge on credit cards is more of a turnoff than a higher but one-time fee?
