Organization and Pacing Strategies?

I recently watched a video on Perry Belcher's blog about how he kept his mind organized to work to his fullest potential. He used the strategy of writing all those little thoughts that come into your brain and distract you on a post-it note. Then you can get back to work without worrying about forgeting anything. You can also move the post-its around to prioritize everything you need to get done (from walking the dog to making dinner to writing your next blog post).

I have always written down those random thoughts I get in a pad I have sitting at my desk, but I may start implementing some of Perry's strategies.

Do you have any other good strategies for keeping your self organized and on task?

I highly advise you try post it digital notes 30 day free trial. I use it every day to keep me on track. It has alarms, memoboards and a few other bells and whistles. It really helps to keep me on track.

I've had an exhausing week and felt like taking a break this evening. As I kicked back to watch a little TV......DING DING DING DING....ole faithful posty starts reminding me of a task I need to work. Guess TV can wait a couple of hours.

Try it; I bet you'll love it.

I have used post-its before for this and it is very messy
but great for establishing priorities and stimulating your
thinking. 3x5 cards stuck on a bulletin board word good too.

You can get post-its in small sizes and those can be
good for small ideas... working them into the big ideas.

I read about a brilliant academic writer whose desk was
an enormous dining table piled with papers. Because
he was constantly shuffling through them he kept the
subject matter in front of his mind and could make
intuitive leaps - precisely because he NEVER filed
away anything to work on... later.

Yeah, Digital Notes has worked wonders for me, and the best bit is its downloadable on a 30 day free trial! Running frequently, say every day, it's really good to keep yourself update and informed. I've really got a lot of good use out of memoboards and the alarming system which can be set to daily or hourly. Quick and efficent, google it and have a look for yourself! Hope this helps!
