Every possible way to get full potential out of 1 article

I'll start the list off:
post it on article sites- ezine articles, go articles, ehow, article dashboard and so on
(you may have to spin the article so you don't get rejected for duplicate content)
create a slideshow- simply cut and paste it into steps and add a little music *musics optional* post it on video sites
create an audio- record it with your ipod and publish it on podcast sites & itunes
spin article- submit it again
bookmark it-additional traffic
Post it on forums
make a hubpage or lense out of it
network-use it as a guest post for another author in your niche.
submit it to magazines- online and offline you should have list of magazines in your niche, if you get your article accepted it will drive traffic and build authority for your brand.

Some great ideas there, my input:

Collate the articles and turn it into an ebook/kindle book.
Cut the article into sections and use as an e-course.
Bundle the articles up and sell them as PLR

That's all I've got for now!

I'd go for quality rather than quantity when trying to get the most out of my article. Especially when article directories are taking such a hit due to the Google Panda update.

    Here's My Tip:
    • Write a high quality article.
    • Make sure it's something you're proud of.
    • Put it away for a day or two.
    • Come back to it and proofread, edit and make it perfect.
    • Approach webmasters and bloggers within your niche.
    • Ask them if they would accept a guest post/article.
    • Based on the response, choose the site/blog that you think is the best.
    • Send your article.
    • Watch as traffic flows in.
    • Rinse and repeat.

I'd rather have a quality and unique content rather than quantity. I am a member of Ezinearticle, it's been almost 2 years but my articles are few because i made sure they are good quality articles.

Well done ... but I think you didn't mention the very first thing we should all do with all our articles? ...

Post them on your own site first and have them indexed there before you do anything else at all.

That one's absolutely fundamental to article marketing.

Three little problems there, I'm afraid ...

    (i) It wouldn't be duplicate content - it would be syndicated content. They're two different things: Article Marketers - Lay the Duplicate Content Myth To Rest Once and For All | Internet Marketing and Publishing

    (ii) Article directories don't require previously unpublished content;

(iii) Spinning isn't necessary and can damage your business: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...necessary.html

^^^ This. Everything else is comparatively a waste of time relative to the payout.

That's an extensive list! I wonder if there's an international directory for magazines as well?

Thanks Alexa, exactly what I was going to say about the spinning.

Mustafa is right about the quality.

Here is what I tend to do with my articles:

    1. Write a high quality article.
    2. Post to my website and get it indexed.
    3. Post to EZA for syndication. (About 70% of my articles. I always try and keep some articles unique to my sites.)
    4. Turn article into a PDF for document sharing sites.
    5. Turn the article into a podcast and upload it to podcast sharing sites.
    6. Take that podcast and make a video to post on video sites like Youtube.
    7. Social bookmark selected articles, podcasts, and videos. I use SocialAdr rather than sites like OnlyWire.
    8. Tweet/FB update with a link to either the article or the Youtube video.

I like the idea of guest blogging within your niche. It does favor to both parties. Spinning for me is not recommended if you still have chance to rewrite it manually. Quality is best than quantity.

    1. Post the article to your site - make sure it's indexed
    2. Create a video and distribute
    3. Create a pdf and distribute
    4. Create an audio and distribute
    5. Send to article directories
    6. Perform guest blogging using that article.
    7. Submit each new link to sites such as social monkee
    8. Start a "network" for syndicated content.. Create web 2.0 properties (squidoo, wordpress,
    blogger, etc..)

Like Alexa and other's have said.. Spinning will only hurt you. There is no such thing as "duplicate content penalty". It's called Syndicated Content for a reason
