Does is matter where I register my .com domain and where I host this domain?

Hi,

Does it matter for SEO where I register my domain and where I host my domain?
I want to register a .com domain and will focus myself on the US market.
Is it a problem if I register this domain in The Netherlands and also have hosting in The Netherlands?
Or is it better to host it in the US for SEO?

Looking forward to get some advice?

Richard

No and no. Buy your domain name from a place that is reputable (Go Daddy, Namecheap) and with your hosting do the same.

I recommend Byet Host others say Host Gator. Some will even chime in and say that 1and1 provided them with the best freaking service on the planet!

It is said that if focusing your efforts to rank in a foreign version of Google you should get hosting in that country, however, I've never had any experience with that.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.
