Is JV Giveaway list, quality list?

9 replies
Hi;
I got invited on few JV Giveaway events.
But the problem is, I was really sceptical about the quality of the list I could build there.

Any warrior here, have experience with JV Giveaway?

How quality your list?

    Not me, but I have learned my paid product list is more responsive then my free bee list.

    We all know that freebie seekers aren't as valuable as confirmed buyers...

    With that said - all freebie seekers have the ability to become buyers (nearly all of us started out as "freebie seekers").

    The key is to make them buyers - that's up to the list owner.

    I can say that I have built good sized lists using giveaways as part of the strategy and I have excellent conversions and make 90% of my income straight from my list...

    Now - if you decide to adwap everyday and keep sending them "free stuff" rather than trying to teach them and get them to "know, like and trust" you then yes - the list will be worthless...

    But if you can make them trust you by providing value then you can turn ANY freebie seeker into a loyal and life long buyer

      Yeah...good info here.
      In other word, educate the list you mean?

      Now, there is question. Compare to normal ways collecting mailing list, I mean, through signatures, articles marketing, and involve with JV Giveaway, where from the very beginning, members subscribe to mailing list for the sake of getting free stuff and never think about getting follow up, what do you say about that?

      Unlike normal way collecting mailing list, where subscribers mostly doing that because of ;
      - he like the blog
      - or he like the article

        They will subscribe because they like your gift. Unlike the common myth that the person will come in there and sign up on 1000 lists is just not the case. Usually the person will peruse the stop and pick a handful of stuff they like and they will opt-in download it (maybe buy your OTO) and then they will be off using the product and not worried about what they missed.

        So - it really starts from the moment they opt-in. I like to have a video for them on the download page or on the confirmation page on in the welcome email or sometime early in the follow up so I can introduce myself and make sure they remember my name

        Once they remember your name and you start educating them - it really doesn't matter if they are on other lists and if they are a buyer. Once they like you and trust you they WILL buy from you - you will just have to give them the right offer.

        Meaning, someone could be a freebie seeker on my list - but a buyer on your list - simply because you put an offer in front of them that interested them more than the ones I put in front of them

        Hope this helps

      I get what you mean, but the statement is a bit of stretch. Are you certain you could turn any freebie seeker to a paying loyal customer?

        If I can get them to know, like and trust me - yes

        If they never open my emails - no - but then they wouldn't like me - would they

    From a couple of years experience, subscribers to giveaway events are just that. If its not a giveaway they are not interested. However,participating it giveaway events is a great learning curve for newbies in creating a product and putting a website/squeeze page to-gether.

      I've had different results - but maybe I market to them differently?
