Hi,

My website was hacked last week. When I check the admin email, I notice that the email is someone else email. I google it and the email is in a hacker community website. He is using yahoo mail. I also found his facebook and is a member of a game cheater and hacker. Can I report this guy to Yahoo and Facebook?

This guy should be banned from earth!!!

First thing you should do is secure your site and find out where the hole is in your script. If you are using shared hosting contact support and let them know asap because it could also be something on thier end. If the hacker has got in he will do it again until you or your host secure the site

It could also be your template or any plugins which you use. If you contact your host they should have logs

But you really should try and get it sorted out and let your host know about it too

This advice is spot on and helpful. Much of the rest (in this thread) isn't quite so, to be frank.

    1- Secure your website
2- contact your hosting and explain them the matter!
3- Yes if possible then report the person.....

Anyone have the link. I didn't find a link where I can report him. In fact, can facebook remove his profile? I don't think he is violating their TOS.

Is a hacker really likely to leave his email address and traceable information in your hacked site?

I'd guess not unless they were very very stupid.

It's not beyond belief that the emil has been hacked also. Report it to Yahoo as they will check out the facts I am sure.
As for Facebook, I doubt they will care as it does not affect them in any way.

If you report his Facebook they will shut down his account. What will he do then? Open a new one with a different email address.

Why not sueing the guy with all the information you have about him?

Also forgot to mention scan your PC as well and make sure that is also clean because that is also another way hackers can gain access to your admin panels and email accounts
