Can someone help me with a gmail problem

I have been using gmail for ages and love it.

Suddenly last night I started to get loads of junk mail. I am just hitting the spam button each time but you know how quickly the spam can get out of control.

Has anyone any suggestions for how I stop the spam, the filter has never failed in gmail before.

Just keep marking the messages as spam and maybe make another email to use for all services that may result in your getting spammed (contact email in websites, newsletter subscriptions, etc.) not sure what else you can do other than that.

I think it is possible to filter it by using labels.

    hi Carol,

I had a similar problem too. I have however managed to reduce a lot of it.

Basically, all I did was set an auto reply to say I am away at the moment, but will respond to their mail asap on my return. In addition, I made sure I set my signature to include an affiliate url ...... so you could say I am spamming them back

Anyway, it has worked for me to a degree and who knows, I may even get a sale out of it.

      An auto-reply? Nice idea.
If you notice the mails come from the same sender, go to your mail settings section and create a new filter for him.
      Take care!
