How To Be Happy « Carol Finlayson – How To Be Happy

I am always struck by the awesome feedback people get when they ask for opinions on their sites. Mine is about 5 mths old. I am list building and getting an ebook ready to sell. I am starting to get coaching clients from it now which is fabulous.

I got a guy from in here to redesign it so if your not mad on the look of it, thats about to improve a lot.

I would so appreciate constructive opinions.

I am using keyword strategy.org that I got from the war room and its fantastic. I have about 300 keywords generating ideas for blog posts and I have a couple of people writing for me in return for articles.

I have really focused on building relationships with others in my industry and that is starting to pay off esp with one author saying she will accept blog posts from me and she lets me post my blog articles on her very popular fb page and writes nice comments on them

so far I have been more concerned with list building and product development than money..... but adsense is making a few quid each day now. So I will shut up now and see what you guys have to suggest.

I connected via private message with a few of you and started to feel at home, then I was blown away by the fundraising for Ken and I knew I had struck gold by joining this amazing room. so glad to be here... right this is me really shutting up now

      Your site could look a little different, but its not so bad at all.

      The adsense block brings up some ads different than the tone of the rest of your site, but that cold be because I have a cookie stuck somewhere. I usually clear those pretty much, though.

      The wording in the page to tell you to sign up is right next to the search box and the adsense block, so it might be worth testing to move the subscribe box up to directly below your photo.

      It would also be a good thing to link your photo to your About page. Lots of people (like me) click on the photo first without reading the text below it.

      But for the most part, those are minor things to test to see if they convert better. Congratulations on getting your site up and attracting clients.

      Anyone can be a life coach, just like anyone can be a financial planner or personal trainer. The bar's pretty low.

      If you want to be believed, I think you have to prove that you've helped someone tremendously.

        Testimonials are vital as mentioned in most niches. I've had sites without testimonials and the sales are dismal to say the least. Having real testimonial with actual pictures makes all the difference in the world...Maybe your back story as well would help. Beyond that the looks of your site is great. One thing I noticed is the lead capture is below the fold on my end here. Maybe you can raise it up a bit? A powerful call to action on a lead capture really helps too.

        Please take this as constructive because I've been through the mill with creating sites and wish you endless success...

        EDIT: I've just noticed you already have testimonials. Pictures do really help with testimonials if there is a way you can squeeze them in... Noticed you have a back story as well which is good.

    Thanks everyone solid gold comments. In particular to Dean I was thinking about my case studies as I have a few dramatic ones and my clients are real people that talk to me on my fb page, building cred as a coach is crucial.... Thank you your feedback is fantastically helpful

    And same to everyone that took the time to look over my site and comment... Your all so generous and its really appreciated. Sorry I don't have time to reply individually right now but all comments have been saved to discuss with designer to see were we can improve not just the look but the functionality

      Very nice.
      Fill a few widget holes with real people and your in.
      People love to see real people with the same needs.
