Yet Another Clickbank Question - About Providing Content

Hi guys,
It's something I don't "normally" share on webmaster forums but I am a huge paranormal enthusiast. I have multiple websites on the subject, and even started my own investigative team 5 years ago. I've even been making a documentary about my team, just sorta for fun and screened a early version of it at a cancer event I was asked to speak at.

ANYWAY, that's just to give you some background on my passion for the subject.

That said, about a year ago I wrote a "How To Ghost Hunt" style book and never released it (even as POD). I've been staring at it more and more lately and have decided to go eBook with it and I wanted WF members opinions.

I'm really considering releasing it through Clickbank but the truth is I'm not sure how the market is with alternative ebooks like this and I was wondering if anyone has any inside knowledge on Clickbank and "oddball ebook" sales, strategies I can use to get sales up, and so on.

I'm asking because I honestly have no knowledge of Clickbank or eBooks in general.

The eBook is 40 pages long, for example. Is that long enough?

Any help is appreciated and PMs are welcome.

I really think you could find a better audience for your book if you marketed it though Kindle.

Kindle and direct publishing I think would be good.

Think of that ancient aliens guy on the history channel he has his own magazine or something like that. He makes good money and does a lot of it himself.

Ok that's good solid advice and honestly POD and Kindle were first on my list. But I see so many people making money on Clickbank and I have no experience with it. Which is why I decided to ask!

I have a few books that I have on Kindle that do well, but I would highly suggest using CreateSpace for your POD. They are cheap and your book also gets its own page on Amazon. I've sold quite a few copies that way.

You'll reach a much bigger audience via Kindle. If it takes off have a look at Lightning Source for POD (world-wide distribution via Ingram).

I'm not sure CLickbank would be the way to go with such a specialized niche. YOu should try Kindle, POD, as well as advertise on forums with that type of audience...

Awesome! Thanks for the input all. I'm going to do some revamping and adding to the book before releasing it. What service would anyone recommend for Kindle? Does CreateSpace.com handle Kindle?

CreateSpace is the Amazon POD system. You don't need a service with Kindle, you can submit it directly through Amazon.
