Hi

I was wondering what constitutes a WSO (Warrior Special Offer).

The WSO rules state this: "3. A Warrior Special Offer Means The Price You Give Must Be Better Than The Price The Public At Large Can Get. (This is not a "buy my product" forum, it is a "Special Offer" forum)"

I was just looking at one that sells a PDF report and only states that he sells it for a much higher price elsewhere, but in my research i found nothing, no website, no sales pages anywhere else on the net and no other pdf products to be found with the same or similar names.

Could be be ripping the forum off? Or is there so me sort of submission one must make to prove he/she is selling at a much higher price elsewhere?

I could be totally 100% wrong and missing something here, am I?

Im asking because Im planning on releasing my own product and I would like to be clear on what it means to offer something "special".

Much appreciated.

-Andrei

Don't worry about what you think other people are (or are not) doing.

Just follow the rules yourself and you won't have a problem.

You know what it says - the WSO forum is not there to create a product for, it's there for people to share the product they created for their own site but offer at a special rate for warriors.

Absolutely. And if the product is good, the price is reasonable and you have people willing to buy it, it really doesn't matter about the pricing outside of WSO...

Of course it does. In fact if it was cheaper outside the forum it would very much matter.

        It's a Warrior "Special" offer.

That is what the rules state and what I believe Andrei was referring to. I'm not sure on the rules regarding just selling it here and no where else but I believe I've seen what Will mentioned as well.

If the person is saying he/she sells it at a higher price but doesn't appear to be doing so, I'd report it.

Actually, I'm not sure that is the case anymore. That's what the WSO forum WAS all about years ago but I am certain I have since seen the powers at be confirm that a WSO product can now either be:

      1) A product that is already being sold elsewhere at a higher price...

      OR

      2) A product that is NOT being sold else where at all.

Both of those qualify as special offers. If the offer you are making is not available outside of the Warrior Forum then it is still considered a Warrior Special Offer.

        Yep I agree.

It makes perfect sense. But obviously if it's for Warrior members only, it needs to be targeted that way and the sales copy needs to state so directly. And of course the price should be reasonable.

@ WILLR, hey thanks for that info injection.

But where have you seen this? Its not written anywhere that I have seen before.

It would be mint if that where the case.

Half the WSO's being sold would not be allowed if this were not the case. Trust me on this one. It would take me forever to dig out the threads where this has been discussed before. So long as your offer is special and unique to the Warrior Forum, it is considered a WSO - regardless of whether or not it is being sold elsewhere.

A product/service that is being sold cheaper on the Warrior Forum than elsewhere is a WSO.

A product/service that is NOT being offered elsewhere is a WSO.

I don't really see the big deal though. If you are going to spend the time creating a kick-ass product then why wouldn't you also want to sell it outside of the Warrior Forum? It only makes sense. In fact the smartest people are those who first release it as a WSO, get a ton of great feedback, update the product and then launch the new and improved version to the public.

WSO is a product which you can say especially made for warriors and should be given at very reasonable price !

Your WSO should not be a fluff or old rehashed product ! It should be your creativity .....

Andrei, he could be ripping people off. But at the same time, people label products differently.

For example, I might release a WSO called "The Fast Track to Success" (I won't lol) but then could have the actual name of the product "The Fast Truck to Ultimate Riches" or something of that nature.

The WSO obviously would be cheaper.

If you find someone violating rules (you have proof), report them.

    Let me note.

ANY product you release, whether WSO or not, should be reasonably priced

It's stupid when people charge $997.00 outside of Warrior Forum and then only $17 to Warriors... in a sense that means they are scamming others (IMO).

If you release something to Warrior Forum, it honestly doesn't have to be DRAMATICALLY reduced in price. It should be reasonable to the point that you are making money for all of the hard work you put into it. And to quality as a WSO, must be below what the public can currently acquire it.

He could be selling to his list, but at any rate, why would you spend time hunting that down? How is it ripping anyone off? You either like the price and product you're being offered or you don't.

I get more pissed when the WSO (which has to be a unique product that you created or had created exclusively for you) is a rehashed piece of crap that you can find everywhere for free.
