Okay.

This is just a quick tip for people that are interesting in creating eBooks and PDF files.

You can create PDF's through Google Doc's and it's super fast and easy.

Step 1: Go to http://docs.google.com/ (login if not already)

Step 2: Create a "Document".

Step 3: Write your eBook. (or type a few words to test it out)

Step 4: Click "File" and then hover over "Download as" and then click PDF.

VOILA!

It's worked wonders for me, especially since I hate using MS Word.

Nice tip! Thanks! I was using a free pdf program, but I haven't been happy with the other stuff that I had to download to get it!

    I know. It's pretty awesome

I spent months creating PDF's inside of Open Office and Microsoft Word and even searched around for PDF converters from straight text.

But this has to be the fastest, easiest way to create PDF's for me now and they autosave while you are writing them which is awesome.

Even better is you can have your friends/partners work on the PDF at the same time and make edits together.

I don't think you can get professional looking pdf from there. But I'll try it. Isn't that easier using MS Word and install the pdf add-in?

Not to be promotional. The ebooks in my sig were created with Google Doc's pdf creator and all I've had was great feedback.

MS Word is an application (ew). I like web-based software

Plus not everyone has MS Word.

If you work with a Mac, go to the print function and at the left hand bottom corner there is an option to create a PDF document. The editing must be done in Pages, but you can create a fantastic PDF for free.
