Hey guys,

I was wondering whether is the food niche profitable in terms of selling information.

More like recipes, information and etc. Though I know there are plenty of free information out there. Perhaps just market it differently.

Your opinions are appreciated!

Thanks

You can verify this by searching for food niche keywords on Google.. if you see a lot of adwords ads - that is a good sign.. if you see a lot adwords ads selling info products - that is a good sign... the opposite of those.. bad sign (not profitable)

I think the food niche can be profitable. However, I would qualify that by saying you can make money, but there are certainly many other more profitable niches.

There are a number of Internet Marketers who have started out in the food niche. For example, Willie Crawford comes to mind as someone who was initially in the food niche. I believe he continues to be in the food niche, but has obviously expanded to other areas.

I can say for myself, I have found the food niche to be profitable. I sell an ebook of recipes which has consistently done Ok over the years.

There is a hungry market for this niche (OK I couldn't help myself...), and I point out the wide reach of the Food Network as one example. The number of successful cookbooks on amazon is another example.

    pizza on earth.

I belive it is a great niche if marketed right and that you learn so much about it. Ive just gone into this niche (my hubbys a chef) so we sort of have a head start!

Coming from someone who doesn't like to cook but will occasionally hop on to google to get a quick recipe, I think there are way too many "free" recipes out there and I think that would deter anyone from actually buying a book.

    Just my 2 cents!

Try to do some research on what marketing tactics Willie Crawford used to
market his recipe books despite the free availability of recipes on the net.

Get some inspiration from what he did and emulate him, not necessarily copy
but draw ideas from his tactic.

Well that explains why food related books, magazines and tv shows etc are so unpopular
