Yes i agree, we are in several niches. That is like looking after 7 of your friends kids all at once. A real handful...but well worth it.

Nothing like waking up and checking my inbox for them clickbank sales. Its still addictive all these years later.

But this is lots of work, blood sweat and tears...if it wasnt everyone would be doing it.

Full time as well. It is very important to stay focussed and keep working hard.
So pick a method and make it work. I see way too many people give up right before they are about to make money. Most methods take some time to work. Also dont be afraid to just try something, its the only way to learn and figure out what works.

Have fun when you can, keep a good attitude, when your having fun working, it's not really work, ok, time to get out the nerf gun and get someones attention! LOL

I am retired but it was from network marketing, I am now also doing quite well online. My advice would be get off a bunch of people's list 1st. determine what niche you want to start in and only come in the warrior forum specifically looking for something. The biggest distraction is all the launches going on daily that pull your focus in different directions. Best of luck to you, your on the right path the money is out here

Sounds like the same answer I had to the question " are people really making money from websites" .. I like your style.

      To the OP-

A full-time income is an opinion. A full time income for my self may be 3K a month, while a full time income for someone else may be 10K.

I have supplemented my 9-5, with 2-3K a month from affiliate marketing. I am no longer pleased with this, and now putting my efforts to off-line marketing, whereas my goal is 10K a month, and qutting my day job. If I replace my current income that is my 9-5 (of 70k/yr) + my affiliate marketing efforts, then I would consider my self having made my full time income from home.

I am ready to make the 5 step commute!

It is all up to the individual person really and how they define things.

I'll have you know I was working for Burger King when I first started in IM. That is much worse .

Anyways, I am only making what would be considered a part time income from what I do online. Enough to supplement my job; but not enough to pay the bills, pay for school, and save/invest.

    Full time.

Some advice....do keyword research to find a market that would be easier to succeed in.

Once you have a niche, get a domain, create a landing page, create a list, give your list value, promote affiliate programs to your list, get traffic to your list

once one niche is making money, do it again in a new niche.

That is a summary. Details can be found in lots of free resources.

Just remember, this is a business like any other. It takes a plan, a method and work over time.

There is no one way, or one piece of software or ebook to buy regardless of the headlines.

It CAN be done. Just keep going and don't give up. :-)

When I first began my main problem was information overload and still is to a degree. My best advice to anyone wanting to be a full time IM is find a simple system, learn everything about it and stick with it until you are successful then rinse and repeat and scale up where possible.

Try not to get distracted by everything else thats going on as this tends to make you feel like your missing out and can lead to you jumping around from one thing to the next and not really achieveing anything. Stick with what works best and you'll go a long way )

The people posting the 1 liners need to share some information lol. I keep seeing these short answers that aren't even helpful.

As far as full-time. I'm don't like that term.

I'm my own person. I make what I consider a great amount of money online in multiple avenues.

But saying full-time, makes it sound like a job.

I barely even consider myself a marketer as I'd prefer to just help people.

So I'm an individual-time internet helper person. That's my job and I love it.

Here are the methods I use to make money.

    - niche websites
    - facebook fan pages
    - subscription lists
    - website creation services
    - courses

and many other ventures But I primarily focus on niche marketing.

      Justin Lewis,

      Your post is spectacularly unhelpful.

Yes, most of us would probably agree that we want to "help people", "not market." But let's face it: you need to pay the bills; first the business bills and then your personal bills. There's just no way around it.

      Life's harsh like that.

I DO understand the spirit of your post, but when it comes down to brass tacks (and actually helping the OP), it's a bit ridiculous.

Sorry, I know that sounds harsh, but I stand by my statement.

And forget "...full-time. I'm don't like that term." It's semantics. Quit playing.

A forum like this can be fantastic. But it can also be a royal (unhelpful!) pain. And posts like yours are why.

Everyone's income needs are different, true. One person might be able to survive on $1,500/mo while another couldn't scrape by on $5,000/mo. But I think it's safe to assume that "full-time" means "not needing a day job." Period. The numbers are all relative.

And therein lies the rub: a question like this is only marginally helpful. (VERY marginally.) It really means nothing to the OP.

First, he needs to assess his current income level. Then he needs to decide on what he'll sell (product or service?), his niche and his target audience (who will buy what he's selling?).

THEN he needs to find others in his niche and ask THEM if they're making a full-time income. THAT'S much more helpful.

      Michelle

I believe you have to start by focusing on a main goal

How much do you want to make in a month?

    $10,000?

Because when you are going to start on a project, you need to be 100% committed and focused on it

You need to have the discipline NOT to jump from one idea to another before getting any one of them done

This is really important because a lot of newbie Internet Marketers are like that

I'm full time IMer as well... it takes time and knowledge, but it is possible... I would even say it's easy once you know what you should do... but many people start with this biz without knowing a lot or at least basics of what they should do... my advice is to learn for some time, try various things and find something that works for you... you know, what works for me might not work for you... or in other words, if someone makes thousands per week from video marketing but you can make a dime, then try with something different... that also counts for niches... I have niches where I'm earning pretty nice commissions but that niche is not for all marketers...

YES YES!!! You've got it! When you can get to this point, when you realize what REALLY makes the money in Internet Marketing, you can actually start making money.

Low profit niche sites = $

        Product creators = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Product development is where the money is.
Being an owner is where the money is.
Having your own affiliates is where the money is.

When you finally realize this,,, that's when you can create and start making money online,, the real money,, not a few bucks here and there,, and it's definitely the fastest way to Online success.

The key to making money online is spending a lot of time learning the ins and outs of it. Once you've educated yourself, the next step is to spend time developing a good product or service.

This thread was very inspiring to me man thanks for creating it. These "full timers" are really motivating . I am currently fighting that info overload myself but I am determined to stick to one or 2 things max and not go after every new shiny system that comes out. Currently working on building Adsense authority sites. I'm determined to not give up on that but I also am very interested in making my own info product to cut out the middle man, and cut out google if I can help it. So we will see which one plays out and then its Scale UP UP UP.

Plus, what exactly IS "Internet Marketing?"

I've seen examples mentioned here on making money in everything from creating and selling info products, monetizing adsense sites, providing services for offline businesses, providing services like copywriting / writing / PLR / Traffic generation for online businesses, etc.

There seems to be something for everyone within this umbrella.

The term is nebulous. I would focus on reaching income goals, being immersed in a topic you love, and creating a business around your personal skills and strengths. When you find the winning combination of all these, I believe you are then in "internet marketing" for the passionate, successful long haul.
