i've been looking a lot at selling mobile sites and have seen quite a few WSOs, also.

my question is how can these mobile sites be sold with a clear conscience?

any business can go to wix.com or bmobilized.com or dudamobile.com and do it themselves for free - most of the time by doing nothing more than plugging in their URL. are people actually selling this service to offline businesses?

i try to do everything in an ethical manner and i'm thinking if one of my clients found out all i did was plug their url in to an online platform they would be pissed.

If you have the technical know-how to do something, no matter how simple it is, and you do it for someone who doesn't then you've provided a valuable service for them. These business owners may not have the time or the inclination to bother going to those sites you mentioned and figure out how to do it themselves.

If they're willing to pay someone else to do it for them I don't see how that is unethical but if you're really having a moral crisis over this you could just explain to them how the process works before you accept payment so they know exactly what they're paying for.

Those automated mobile site creators can't compare to a custom mobile site. Most customers want more than that.
