There are many landing page formats.

It depends on your objectives for the prospects you bring to the page.

Most successful niche affiliate marketers will agree that you should presell and warmup your prospects before you attempt to get them to click through to a sales page so that you can earn your commissions when a sales is made.

    But...

We won't bother talking about squeeze pages & list building right now because that's another can of things to do for a newbie.

    Of course...

A complete sales process/funnel would have a squeeze page as the first step in the process for your prospects so that you can build your lists and followup with your prospects later.

    But...

I think newbies should master the basics of slapping up presell and warmup landing pages first.

Master slapping up landing pages and getting tons of targeted prospects to the landing pages and you can write your own ticket.

Here are a few presell/warmup page tactics that you can use on your prospects.

    - Headline & Bullet Points:

Big promise headline and 4 or 5 benefits/bullet points about the product:

(before you ask them to click on through for more info

    - Article:

Have your prospects read an article.

(before you ask them to click on through for more info

    - Product Review:

    Review a product or service:

(before you ask them to click on through for more info

    - Product Comparison:

Compare 2 or more products and rank them:

Here's a site that will allow you to practice page creation and will also host your pages for free - without any ads.

If you can point and click and use a word processor you can slap up landing pages.
