Domain + opt-in/squeeze page question.

Would you advise making a opt-in form on a sub domain?. I'm really tight on money right now, but, I'm thinking of setting up an opt-in page using Blogspot (Blogger), which, I'm sure is more than possible. My question is, will doing this look unprofesional in the eyes of potential subscribers?. I'm still trying to wrap my head around all of this.

It isn't the best way but it is a way. As for what your subscribers will think, my opinion is it depends on your niche. If IM, yes, they will know. Most other niches, the prospects probably will not know the difference.

You can also create free sites on yola, wordpress, squidoo and even a facebook fan page to create a list.

It has never happened to me but it did happen to a client of mine, where Blogger just deleted their blogger blog without notice and there was no way to find out why or get it back. That is one of the reasons you want to own you own domain and host your own site.

    :-)
