Bad Experience with Gigbucks

i just checked out this site gigbucks.com and found an interesting gig. i purchased the gig last nov. 6 and until now didn't received anything. i sent message to the seller and there was no reply. my transaction didn't appear in 'my shopping' page. i brought up the issue to the site's admin got only auto response to my email. tried to send message again to the site but still no answer. i don't care losing $5 but i don't want them to be irresponsible if somebody's having a transaction issue.

    Although 6th Nov was Sunday, but that should not restrict you to get proper response from the seller as well as the website admin.

    my transaction didn't appear in 'my shopping' page.
    This is a serious coding issue with the website which needs immediate attention.

    And luckily I am not a member there. Fiverr is too good.

    yup, i agree. i think fiverr is the best for gigs. just out of curiosity that's why i tried and unluckily had a bad experience in my first try

    Sorry to hear you had a bad experience on Gigbucks. We took over the site just a couple of days ago and indeed had to straighten out some problems which are now all solved.

    • As far as I can tell, Gigbucks was sold in September 2010, March 2011 and October 2011. Looks like people run it for about six months before putting it up for sale again.

      There's a report over at BHW that a previous owner was requiring sellers to log in at least once a week to plump his traffic numbers or he'd cut off their accounts.

      Are the newest owners in for the long haul?

    It seems that they are sending emails to inform registered users that must create the user and gigs again, motivated by changing their web system.

    At the very least, it sounds a bit strange that they can not migrate the information.

    okay. Let me explain how gigbucks work, you order the gig, then a request is sent to the seller notify him someone placed an order (the order is not yet placed), if the seller accept then it will show up as you order it.

    if the seller didn't response in 3 days (i am not sure i guess), the order is cancelled. Again, I didn't place order for a while but I think you may have issue with the website.

    check the shopping area, it should show up the process or the payment somewhere.

    I would suggest to email the admin again, he may lost the email (probably they got many emails and may lost it by mistake).

    If the seller didn't approve the sale, it suppose to be cancelled and money refunded to your gigbucks account.

    Gigbuck does not as good as before. You got to watch out!!
    I am a seller at Gigbucks and untill now, I can not withdraw my earning. I have submit ticket and no reply at all.
    I search some information in Google, then I found out.. yes, Gigbuck try to cheat everyone now.

      I earned $90 by working hard on gigbucks. They have an issue with clearance. After clearing the money they hold the money without any reason.

      At last i saw that all the completed and well rated projects are marked as "Admin Cancelled" and they took away all the money. The buyer has rated me 100% positively.

      I contacted with them and they told me the buyer complained. Even i know nothing.

      I have given a lots of proof that my works are 100% okay. But they are cheater and cheating with everyone.
      They will take your money after a few days passed.

      I observed and found that, the admin create accounts and acts as a buyer. He buys projects from sellers, get his/her works done, gives seller 100% positive rating. But you will never get you money. They will give an issue and take your money.

      Have anyone such experience like me???

    I`ve made 128$ from Gigbucks.No problem with them so far.They reply on time to all my support tickets and i have successfuly withdrawn all my earnings.
