There's no "best" traffic source, as long as it's people that would be interested in your product

This is a Good question considering there are site which gets enough traffic but without any quality.

So in this case what you exactly need is 'niche targeted traffic' . And to achieve that you have very limited options such as traffic from Google, and from other similar websites. Blogging can be very useful in this regard also.

There are two types of traffic. Long term traffic and instant traffic. I would suggest focusing on both types of traffic. SEO skill building will help you generate long term traffic. PPC will help you build instant traffic to your site. The one thing to keep in mind is that although both of these skills can be affordable because you are in control of your spending with PPC, it requires keyword research skills that 95% or more of online marketers today do not have. I would also suggest you consider learning article marketing which will help you generate traffic to your website long term.

I would say drive people to a squeeze page using seo and video traffic and then build a relationship with that list and then promote your offer to it.

The good way of getting traffic is YouTube videos.

Also, try to avoid buying any traffic. It really does not work very well...I was tempted many times and tried and got very disappointed.

The organic traffic is the best.

Again, video is very good and fast way to get some nice traffic.

To get your site on the Google's first result page, in my opinion, SEO should be considered.

Finding the right keyword (with high volumn of search, but low competition) will be the first step and then building backlinks (especially from high PR with nofollow and from .org/.edu) follows.

As @DebbieD mentioned above, it's gonna take some time but for the long-term result, SEO is one of the best ways to get the free but targeted traffic.

Have you found decent keywords to target yet? If not, that's step #1. If you've already got the keyword research done, make sure your on-page SEO is taken care of first (it's like the foundation to a house - the best-looking house in the world is of no use without a solid foundation. The same goes for your SEO!)

Once you've got that taken care of, analyze the top 3 results for your keywords. See what kind of links they've got. Can you get any of the same links (like by submitting your site to the same directories, becoming a member of the same forums, or publishing articles on the same websites, etc)? If you can, that's a great way to start playing catch-up.

From there, focus on other ways to build quality links. Start up an article marketing campaign that focuses on syndication(there are a ton of threads here about it. Just do a quick search.) Look for blogs in your niche that accept guest posters. Look for forums that are related to your niche, and become a regular, valuable contributor. Just remember - the best way to get links is to create content (whether it's articles, blog posts, videos, etc.) that people WANT to link to. Don't bother exchanging or paying for links; neither will fetch you the high-quality links you need.

You can certainly use PPC until you get other traffic methods up and running, but PPC is awfully expensive. And, once you stop paying the ad bills, all of the benefits of PPC disappear (unlike SEO and content syndication that will generate results for you forever).

You need both a short term and long term plan for traffic. Short term, you do want traffic fast, just to see how well your page will convert. So to get traffic fast, you need to pay for it like PPC. Long-term, you want to do what people have suggested, back-linking, article marketing, video marketing, viral reports. These methods all kick in over time, but they do take time. So ya, it's question of whether you want to invest in time or money or both. I say both is good.

You need to consider what your ideal client persona would be and then target your SEO to present information to them in a way that pulls them to your site.

What buying words or questions are people typing into the search engines that might indicate their mind set.

SEO is really just optimizing your site so that your commercial offers can be found by people who are looking to buy your products.

Similar to many businesses - define your client and target your efforts to where they hang out online.

By all means create an email list as some of these people will become your best customers, so offers with optins are essential.

There are lots of good WSO's that show you how to get backlinks (without the need for expensive software)

You might get better exposure with a youtube video showing how the print process works and what a great service you provide? (do you have any unique selling points that you can highlight in the video?)

All the best (try and think like your potential customers and how would you try and find what you are offering if you searched for it online or locally)

Creating good quality content that you keep adding to is in my opinion the best way to get sustainable traffic. And it's the way Google is definitely heading too.

Try to identify your market and so onpage seo and offpage seo. you'd be surprised how organic traffic yields better result longterm.

do not also forget the power of social media. use twitter and facebook as part of your marketing strategies!

If there are any high volume forums related to your product, sign up and make valuable posts with your website in the sig.

Write articles and put them on Qondio.com and ideamarketers.com to get the backlinks for SEO and for immediate targetted traffic.

Post a lot of twitter and facebook and every so often say something about your product and promote it.

Set up a fan page on facebook and give valuable information there.

What do I to get real traffic?

As I don't have money I need to invest my time. I registered m self in a bunch of big sites related to my activities and then I try to be as helpful as possible.

It is helping me to get real traffic. I came from 0 visitors per month to 2,500 visitors per month in 3 months on my blog.

It may seem an insignificant amount but taking in account the time I invest (around 1 hour per day), I think its going well. Specially because the growth is not linear but exponential (at least it's been up to now).

you can start on your SEO to get rank 1 on SERP with the keywords.
Once you do have high SERP, you will get lot of traffic and maybe double up compare to currently.
Do frequent guest post and submit article will help you lot.

The maximum traffic you want will come from Google. To rank on google's front page, you have to know the specific keywords.

Probably guest blogging. Tap into the traffic that other sites already have that is related to what you are offering.

With efficient keyword research I would say that instead of just article marketing, to learn how to do quality spins. Either manually or using the best spinner. Spend the time to make sure that the outputs of the spins are readable. Then submit that through syndication networks like unique article wizard. I've used them in the past and some of the sites did send traffic. It isn't huge but it is long term and scalable. It's took one of my sites from average traffic volume to where it's at now. Around 100 visits a day. The traffic is mainly from google but there are extra visitors appearing from articles that were submitted months ago that are still sending traffic daily.

Basically, article marketing, seo, and learn and about spinning your content while keeping it readable. The first time I used UAW I tried it on a Squidoo lens first to see how it would go. Some of the spun content was indexed and 2 of the submissions were on the front page of Google for a while in front of the lens it was linking to. So it's definitely worth investing your time in learning.

I would say this: forget about the first page of Google!

Yes, I know, it's good to be on that first page and one of your goals should be to get there, but there are other pretty good ways to get traffic... I would go with this:

videos - they are extremely popular these days and you can get your videos ranked high on Youtube pretty easily... also, there is a lot of people on Youtube which will see your videos...

Facebook - there is a lot to be achieved on Facebook - fan pages, applications, viral part, friends, advertising...

press releases - very powerful way of sending your message out there, which will also be picked up by search engines... and if you done it correctly, you should get to the first page of Google with Google News

Fiverr - those guys and girls there can do a lot of promotion for you for a funny little price...

Those are just some of ideas... as I often like to say: think outside the box and don't go where everyone others are going....

One recently discovered means of driving traffic is using YouTube. Specifically:
-making a quick video advertising your product
-uploading to to your UT account
-finding other videos in your niche that have high search volume
-creating a video response to that high traffic video (try for 100k if you can) and attaching your own video advertising your product (make sure your created video matches the high traffic video)

Wait for views and decent amounts of traffic to your offer/website!

To get traffic, you need to apply some basic or advanced on page and off page seo.

For on page, you'll first off want to find good long tail kw's with reasonable search volume 700+
Then you will make sure your kw is in the title of your new article post, kw in the h1, h2 and h3 tags (sub heading of your article)
You have your kw around the post with a density of 2% but preferably not above 4%.

Your kw in the first paragraph (first sentence hopefully) and in your last paragraph (last sentence.

Then off page seo
article marketing,
forum posting,
video marketing,
blog commenting,
social networking,
leveraing web 2.0 sites like blogger, hubpages, squidoo, etc

All this require you spend time and effort and if you have money to outsource, then good for you.

First, make your website REALLY world-class, so that it gets viral within your niche. That in my opinion is the best way. For some reason, most people tend to realize this fact that if their product is of high quality, then the product would require very little marketing efforts; rest the quality/value it provides to the users would take care of everything!

SEO, affiliate reviews, etc. everything would follow automatically if you concentrate on becoming an authority in your niche.

2) Getting traffic is not about waiting for it to come to you. Go to your most likely targeted customers, and where they hang out online and put your message infront of them. It is the quickest way to make money. Means high quality...and high quality means sales and profits for you.

3) Once you have a system that brings in consistent traffic and they are making consistent sales, just upscale and outsource to other people who can do the job for you.

Use more of the traffic system and techniques that give you better results, and less of the ones that give you poor results.

Have you tried creating backlinks for your site on ezine articles? Think of the keywords for your site/business and then embed them in the articles.

In my opinion, REAL traffic as you call it is first of all PAID traffic, meaning PPC of all kinds. You can target your keywords, but you can also target your demographics. Knowing who your products are for, it is easier to target PPC ads to a specific group. I would recommend setting up a fan page on Facebook and direct traffic there. Facebook is really good due to the possibility to target specific demographic groups.
