Have anyone got their signature file removed before?

When will it be restored?

Maybe a week, maybe a month, maybe never. It all depends why it was removed.

    Mr Oksa is correct.

Most likely you won't be getting it back anytime soon though.

I had mine removed. Took awhile to get it back.

All you can do now is just try to contribute to the community and prove that you aren't just trying to get your link shown.

Ya know the whole signature thing really sort of baffles me and the reason it baffles me is probably the same reason I struggle with IM Ya see to my way of thinking my sig isn't going to be seen that much anyway I suppose I think like this because I almost never look at peoples profiles or sigs, so I tend to think other people are like me and behave like me. Obviously this isn't true And I suppose evidence of this is clear from things I see all the time on this forum that clearly demonstrate to me that people are in fact looking at my sig. and it is for this reason that I do try to make useful contributions to the community because if people are going to follow my sig based on what I have written in a post or in response to someone else's post. Honestly though sometimes it's difficult not to be a s smart alec or otherwise unkind especially if I'm tired or if I read something that has a surly edge to it

Taken directly from the Forum Rules:

        SIGNATURE FILE RULES

Sig Files are getting out of hand.

We're getting all colors of the rainbow and some people are using massive fonts...comes a time when things need to get back into line so...

        NEW SIG FILE RULES

        (1) Maximum length of sig file is 5 lines which includes any blank lines used for spaces.

EDIT: War Room members are allowed up to 6 lines.

        (2) You are only permitted 1 color in your sig file, this can be any color so long as it's black (hyper links can be blue as they come up this way on the board)

        (3) Sig files may only be written in the normal standard font size.

        (4) You may bold or italicize but that's it.

        added by admin:

        (5) No Affiliate Links Allowed - Promote Your Own Domain/s Only. It's either this or we have to cut out sig files altogether which we do not want to do.

EDIT ADDED 3 May 2011: The new WarriorPlus affiliate links for WSOs are not allowed either.

        (6) Anyone Caught Promoting The Same Site/Offer Will Be Deleted. Program owners are telling their members to come here and make posts to promote their offer in their sig files. This has caused tons of useless messages to be posted and it is clogging up the forum. Anyone caught doing this will have to be removed. This is not an ad forum - it is a discussion forum.

Edit: We have no problem with someone pointing to their WSO within their sig.

Edit: Due to certain people trying to find a loophole I needed to add yet another edit. Please do not try to get around these rules by getting your own domain name and simply redirecting it to an affiliate program. You Will Be Removed From Here When Caught.

If you want to promote an affiliate program do it on your own domain. Your own web site. Not a "pre-made" web site. Your own web site, a real one. Then put THAT web site in your sig file.

A simple way to stay within this rule is this: Promote Your Own Real Web Site And Do Not Listen To Anyone Who Tells You To Come Here Just To Promote A Site They Created For You.

Don't lose sight of the fact that popular forums are well spidered by the main search engines. This means that a properly constructed signature, in the right forums, can help your website(s) ranking in the search engine results pages (SERPs).

          Just my thoughts,

          Jeff.

Depends on what you did, and what ever that is you know not to do it again, now what you should be doing is contributing to the forum and helping people out any way you can so that does not happen again

My signature was removed , and I had no links, just an affirmation, can someone tell
me what is wrong with this:

    ************************************************** ****************
Right now... This very second... You have everything you need to be successful. You have everything it takes , and more , to become everything you have ever dreamed ; and more than you can ever imagine.
You are a success just by coming as far as you have...
DO NOT give up five minutes before the miracle.

    ************************************************** ****************
Now what is there in that , that could be offensive or outside of the rules ?

    Edit:

For some reason , it is now showing up here, but does not show up when I post in
    Warriorforum special offers .

Long time ago in a galaxy far away, a bunch of doucebags continually posted nonsense in people's paid WSO threads to get their crap signatures seen and steal traffic away from people who have paid for a listing.

So, signatures have disappeared from the WSO forum.

WSO section does not allow sigs..

And even if they did & it really was removed, posting here wouldnt do anything to help you.

    This isnt the help desk.

This thread is about signature files being banned, I put my experience
in the thread, that's all , sharing an incident.

Never said it was the help desk, thank you very much.

My suggestion would be to contribute to as many conversations as you can helping others out. I would do that for a bit before I got hold of admins though as it will show, like someone said earlier, that you are here to contribute to the community here and help direct others with your knowledge.

Don't post a bunch of crap that makes no sense or you may find that you don't have a signature either. Making a bunch of crap posts to inflate your post count is one reason a signature disappears.

If you posted a lot of spammy post to get your post count up this can often result in losing your signature. Like with Panda the focus needs to be on providing vaulable content on a consistent basis. Change your mindset to one a "long game" and not focusing one getting "clicks" to whatever you were promoting. Like I preach to my members....when you help millions of people the "millions" will come...

yes, I have realized that by giving out to others, it will eventually be returned. If we build our business ideals on serving others, then as we build - others will come.
