Newbie with alot of questions

Hey there,

I started on the Internet marketing trip a few weeks ago and im finding it really interesting. Im not doing it mostly for the money, but i seems to get a real kick from it just finding and learning stuff and one day i might get something good up.

So since then i've been sitting here day and night (mostly nights) reading on the warrior forum to get some hints on what to do and how to do it.

There is quite many quesions unansweared for me so im testing my luck here to see if i can get some explanations on what i dont understand completly.

1. Is there any difference if yu make post or have a article on a new page the same time (I assume that there is no diffrence since blog posts actually is a page in itself) i just want to be clear here.

2. When you making backlinks to your website, do you only do backlinks to the mainadress, or is it needed to make backlinks to every page? (If you have a page where you have articles it could be nice to have a prio landing page?)

3. Keywords: There is so many different methods for this that i have been reading about. But it seems that the main road alot of people is using is 1-4 keyword for every post/page. What is the advantage to have 1 keyword instead of 4? and the other way around?

4. Keywords (LSI): There is alot talk of LSI, does these words have to be a "keyword" or is it good enough to have them in the post? What i mean is lets say that i have "weight loss" as the main keyword and then my second is "lose weight"(which i guess is a LSI word for "weight loss) But lets say i mention the word "Fat loss" one or two times in the text, is that enough to make it count as a LSI word, or does it have to be an actual "keyword" to count or rank for it at all?

5. Keywords: As you might see im alittle lost when it comes to keywords. Lets once again say that i have 2 keywords "weight loss" and "lose weight" is there any chance for me to rank for any other word in my text, or has it to be "tagged" as a keyword to be able to rank for it?

Earlier today when i was at work thinking about these questions that i still had there was alot more of them, but as it seems i've forgot about them. So [/B]there might come more questions in this thread.

BTW if there is anything that you dont understand bare with me, i'm not up to par with my english skill that i should have been, but i guess i'll get better at some point.

This is a forum. Nobody here will give you private lessons about internet marketing.

Instead of making so many questions, you should read many posts and find the answers you need by yourself.

You can type in the search box of the Warrior forum the topics that interest you and read various threads, where you may find the answers you are looking for. (The search box is on the top, on the right side of the page)

    Take care!

You are probably over thinking the keyword strategies a bit, the whole idea of LSI is that you should be able to just write quality content on a topic and get indexed for related terms without worrying about the specific terms you user

There is a practical limit to how many keywords you can incorporate a post's meta title and header while still using proper grammar.

The SEOmoz people have a lot of quality information regarding on-site optimization in their blog and compiled resource directory:

Hi Wieli, I'm not going to try and give you a full answer here as part of understanding this stuff really only comes from a bit of research and sweat

Having said that, we all started out knowing nothing and it is definitely a lot to pick up when you begin.

LSI keywords are just phrases that appear frequently in material relating to your main keyword and if you were reading an article by an expert in that subject, you might expect them to use some of those phrases as they explained their topic.

So, for example, if your main keyword is related to a breed of dogs, you might see stuff about training or grooming in the article. At first sight "obedience training" has no real relation to "German Shepherd" but when you know that I am talking about dogs, it makes perfect sense.

Keywords that show up in the search engines rely on both your material on the page, but also on your links pointing back to the page....so if you want to rank for more than one keyword you may need to find links to help you. Notice I say "may need to"....Google has its own ideas about what you are trying to say from your content, so you will often find yourself ranking for terms you didn't target explicitly (sometimes not even in your text at all!)

If you want to really get into this, you should check out the huge number of Warrior Special Offers that cover SEO - Craig Mako's stuff is good, but there are plenty of others to choose from. Alternatively, you could join the War Room on here and see what else you can read in there for free...it's a great inveestment no matter what you do.
