Is there anybody who knows the most basic and simplest way of driving traffic to a site without much investment?

    1. Find the biggest forum that's related to your niche.
    2. Check to see if links in signatures are allowed.
    3. Spend a lot of time writing quality information and build credibility.
    4. If you got a good product that is most likely going to work.

    Yeah that might the fastest, but I think Adwords is complicated with it's quality score etc..

    However I guess you can use Facebook and others.

      There are LOTS of PPC providers.

      The question was about how to quickly get traffic - PPC is a sure fire way. You only pay when you get traffic, so by definition if you're paying - you're getting traffic.

      If you don't know what traffic you want or what to do with it when you get it - that's a different problem.

    Another free way to acquire traffic would be to join article related sites especially EzineArticles, start writing quality articles related to your content and use your website links in the signature.

    In the past I have driven some highly targeted, high-conversion traffic to my websites via quality articles. As an example, one article I wrote that luckily got top rankings in Google for a highly competitive term drove about 10,000 visitors (yes, you read it correctly 10k visitors) in one year and those visitors had a very high conversion rate.

    The conversion rate from the article related traffic hands down beat the conversion rate I was getting via Adwords campaign (which I briefly tried to do some analysis and testing). That's just an example to help you understand the utility of good quality articles submitted on valuable platforms.

    doing that will require financial investment.

    video and article marketing can be very good
    too but will take sometime to build momentum.

      you don't need to create a video no where near 30 mins
      to make video marketing work for you.

      your videos can be less than 5 mins...i believe under 5mins
      would be the best option because most people will lose focus.

    Hmm what I will do is search for the type of market that I am looking for and hang out where they do. This may depend on your niche. Internet marketers can be tapped in forums or through guestposting in popular blogs while fitness addicts can be seen in social websites. It is all about trying to reach as much people as you can while doing little work. Instead of doing a lot of backlinking strategies, it is better to create 1 great article and post it on a high traffic blog. If the content is good, then you will surely get people coming your way.
