Promoting Clickbank products on eBay

Hi Warriors,

I was just wondering if it would be possible to promote Clickbank products via eBay.

There is a possibility with Classified Ads on eBay.

Anyone has experience with this?

Looking forward to see your replies.

Hm.. I don't see why not... that's a great idea too!

Maybe someone that's more knowledgeable on the subject can confirm but if this is possible, I think I'll give it a go!

You don't have to thank me or the idea

I just had a look on eBay,but i don't see much Classified Ads to promote products.

And you are only allowed to submit this ad in one category:

      Everything Else-> Info Products

I suppose that eBay has quite a lot of traffic, but I don't know how much traffic this category has.

Is there a place to check eBay traffic by category?

Maybe someone with eBay experience can tell me more about this.

I believe eBay has a policy against promoting digital download products so unless you can deliver it on CD, I'd say you're out of the game.

No,you are allowed if you use Classified Ads.

      This is from eBay:

      Requirements

To sell a digital item on eBay, you must comply with the following requirements:
      • Digitally delivered items must be listed in the Classified Ad Format in the Everything Else>Information Products category only.
      • Any digitally delivered item may not be pornographic in nature.
      • The seller must be the owner of the underlying intellectual property, or authorized to distribute it by the intellectual property owner.
      • The seller's item may not include software that harms the buyer's machine (for example, a virus), uses it for malicious or unauthorized purposes (for example, sending spam emails or spreading a virus), or violates the buyer's privacy (for example, spyware or cookies per the HTML and JavaScript policy).
      • To help verify the identity of sellers listing digital downloadable items, eBay requires that sellers are PayPal Verified.
In addition, you'll need to verify that you are legally authorized to sell the digital item when you list it.

Of course. It's been going on for years.

You sell a 5-step eBook on CD and have it jam-packed to it's eyeballs with targeted (40-steps) Clickbank affiliate links

There's another "middle" step to the above process that the gurus are using to smash eBay wide open. Get them to subscribe!

Wow! I've learned a couple of things out of my ignorance. I especially like the idea to go VIRAL BALLISTIC for a $10 eBay ad and a $.15 blank CD. I have enough royalty free stuff on my hard drive to create a killer CD for eBay. Thanks Louis and Rick!

If I would live in the US I would start right away.

But shipping cd's from The Netherlands is quite expensive

That's why I am still thinking if there are other opportunities with eBay

Run an ebay classified ad. Include a email link for customer to use to inquire for more info. Using an auto-responder, the customer would be sent an email containing a little more info and link to your sales or squeeze page. You can then sell the item as digital download from your web page.

This can also be a great opportunity.

This is absolutely the right way to do it.

You can't link directly to the merchant page as eBay forbids linking out to a page that has something for sale outside of eBay - however getting someone to sign up for a free newsletter then you can email them any offer you like.

I'm also having some good success with just having a free report to download right from the classified ad without an opt-in. (some people just hate opting in) This is allowed because you arn't selling anything outside of eBay. Of course my free report does have my aff links and suggestions from me to pass it around to their friends so it can hopefully go viral.

Hi Tracey, I hope you don't mind me asking a question. Your comments are very helpful and I wondered if you might be able to give me some further advice. In the free ebooks you can download from just about anywhere in order to sell on for profit. Is there a way you can include your link inside the ebook so if folk want further info they can click on the link inside the ebook and go to your clickbank website? I'm pretty sure the terms and conditions state that you're not allowed to alter any of the material in these free ebooks but I'm not sure? Kind regards Tony

I've never heard of anyone getting massive success off of ebay classified ads..

    Would love to hear any.
I tested it once and got nothing worth mentioning.

I did this a couple of years ago (ran classified ads and used my CB affiliate link). Worked ok for a while, but then the scammers started popping up and selling the exact same products for $5 (yes, in complete violation of both EBay's TOS and US Copyright Law) but as soon as you get one knocked off, two more pop up to take his/her place. Pretty soon I was wasting $35-70 on an ad that was surrounded by sellers who were beating my price by 90%. So I quit and went in a different direction.
