Need Cash Fast -- How the "Guru" Would Do It
Preface - please let's don't debate the term guru or whether they are good or bad or whether they exist or if it's right or wrong to call someone a guru. Let's also not debate guru versus expert vs mentor, etc. Guru, as used in this case, is someone that most of us would consider as someone who knows what they are talking about and/or someone who is very entrepreneurial - an achiever type - someone not afraid to let it all (or most of it) hang out in order to get what they want. To drop a few names many people would consider Mike Filsaime, Paul Myers, Allen Says, John Reese, Yanik Silver, Marlon Sanders, Willie Crawford, John Carlton, plus many more as an online guru. Offline gurus may include people such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, etc.

Many people are desperate because of the economic situation, layoffs, foreclosures, etc. Many people come here looking for answers.
Most people get this answer whether they need money tomorrow or next month: Go find a job. We talk about how a McDonald's job is the way to go. We talk about steady and sure income. We talk about not wasting our money and holding on to our cash with both hands. We talk about not risking our family's future. We talk about how online marketing is NOT the way to go - it's NOT easy - it's NOT right if we're desperate, etc.
Of course some have answers such as write articles, provide services offline such as building websites, etc. But the majority always talk about getting a job.
Interestingly, even people who sell make money quick WSOs or effortlessly and instantly earn money say go get a job.
The question here is: what would a guru do if they were just laid off or if they were facing foreclosure, or their daughter needed a new kidney or she was going to die. Would they spend all day out looking for a McDonald's job or would they figure out a way to make something happen, online or off, that might be risky but make a bigger difference than $6 take home pay per hour with the first check due in 3 weeks?
I'll share my thoughts after I read some of yours.
