using wordpress as personal notetaking platform?

I haven't tried WordPress for note taking. What I have tried, however, is GoogleDocs, DropBox and Evernote. I use the first two the most and I find them all very easy to access from any computer, as well as from my mobile (I have apps for each one installed on my phone).

I use OneNote because I don't have to "save" and it includes nifty screen clipping.

Most of my notes stay in Word or notepad.

But if your referring to websites, tools, services, and products... one of my blogs is a growing directory for the tools and resources I use. If done correctly, I have seen some great marketer's organize their toolbox in such a way they use it two-fold.

The first is likely for personal reference, and organizing a 'quick access' back office of sort, and the other is to express to their readers what tools they recommend/use daily to grow their business with affiliate links to those sources. A female warrior here has her blog set up that way, and I'd bet she does very well having that info organized for readers.

Nothing wrong with it in my eyes. The only downside is, having too many 'outbound' links might hurt you if you rely on ranking your sites. If that be the case, add stuff equally as you build 'inbound' links.

Well, i am not really looking to rank my private/personal blog, as I just want to have it for note keeping. I rather it not be crawled by search engine indeed (probably going to turn this off and put password to access).
