Yellow splodge near mouse when recording screen shot?

Hi,

Please could I ask your advice? I have seen a few webinars/videos where people are capturing the screen. While they talk, they move the mouse around and you see a yellow halo thingymibob that surrounds the mouse.
This makes it very clear to the viewer where the mouse is.

I am screen capturing a specific program tutorial and I don't know how to get that effect.

Does anyone know how they do that?

Thanks
Di

I have seen this before. I know there is a specific webinar software out there that does this as well as other features, but I can't recall the name. I would think any of the popular webinar software pieces would have it.

"Yellow Splodge" and "yellow halo thingymibob" are very technical terms and highly regarded secrets in the video production area ;-)

Seriously, most screen capture software (eg: CamStudio & Camtasia) has this as standard option.

In CamStudio, it is listed under "cursor options" where you can select "Highlight Cursor" and along with the shape, size and color of the "halo thigymibob"

Thank you, Peter, for your very coherent answer to my retarded question

      I appreciate it.

Good grief. What the hell are you doing? That is tip top secret information. Giving away the splodge secrets is one thing but the thingymibob????

I can't believe what I've witnessed, 500 years ago in this country and you'd have been hung, drawn and quartered.....if the internet had been about of course.

I hope you can sleep at night after that, I couldn't live with myself personally.

I've been using BB Flashback Express for making videos. That also has a yellow "what-do-you-ma-call-it2 (my late granny's expression) aka "the oo-jar-ma-flik"

Now you see - this is where the Warrior Forum get a bad reputation for spreading misinformation.

Everybody knows that it is called the 'Yellow Doobrie Thing' - YDT for short.

    Get with it people!

It's still me. Just playing around.

It might be nice if we all report Dallas a few posts above for putting a genuine link in small letters then spamming the thread with his own link in normal sized letters underneath.

You can always make a signature and put it there.
