I need to make $500 next week. HELP!

Check the WSO thread for offers re: blog flipping. If you're good at building and optimizing blogs - and you're willing to work hard - then (based on what I've read from other IMers here at WF) you should be able to make $500.

Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to try my hand at it yet, but I hope to do so soon.

Post a WSO if you have something of value to offer. Also make a post for your services in the Digital Point Forum and in the Site Point forums. Also look for other webmaster programs. You can do it! Just take focused action. Combine your services into a good WSO as well.

You are giving away "Probably" a perfectly good
script that you could sell for real money. Unless
you have some sort of backend that is working
for you right now.

I second what Eric is saying. If you have a skill you can provide, it's a good way to get started and can generate some cash flow to get you going.

It's been mentioned in this thread to flip a site or go off line and sell Internet/PC related services.

I'll talk about OffLine. I've personally done it. $500 in one day is doable so $500 next week is a cinch.

First of all lets break it down. Since you said next week I'm thinking you need $500 by next Sunday.

That gives you 10 days starting the count tomorrow. Friday, January 23.

So, the only thing you have to do is focus on making $50 tomorrow.

I've learned some very valuable lessons regarding focusing lately so even though you could do both things, that is, offline and online I personally would say pick one and focus on that one thing.

OFFLINE:

Start at 9am and call on every small business on the business streets in your town. Walk in and talk to the first person you see working there asking the question, "Are you the owner?" If they say yes or no, asking the question this way will get you in touch with the owner if he/she is there.

Now simply offer them whatever service you can do for them. If you can build them a site offer that. The list is limitless. Charge $100 + for your service and even if you only make a sale every other day you will have $500.

Site flipping: JUST ONE WAY.

Go to eBay and look for hosting. Find hosting for "unlimited" (no such thing but that's OK) hosting for a penny or a dollar for the first month.

Get the hosting account. Sell ready made blogs for $25 - $100 for the first year. Make the agreement so you can collect a yearly fee for the blogs after the year.

Sell 20 blogs, that's 2 a day for the next 10 days. There is your $500. sell 5 more blogs over time and the extra 5 will pay your hosting for the year. Of course if you sell them for more the less you have to sell.

You can either set up one blog on 25 different accounts or 25 blogs on one account using subdomains.

You are not selling "hosting" you are only giving admin privileges to the blog admin panel. Of course if you give access to the cPanel of the different accounts you are in a since selling hosting even though you stress the BLOG not the hosting account.

ONE Example: Register the name VeryBestPetShop.com (right now it's avaliable.) Now set up blogs on subdomains. Austins.VeryBestPetShop.com, Burnets.VeryBestPetShop.com, CorpisChristis.VeryBestPetShop.com, etc.

This is not a SEO challenge, It's not about getting customers for your clients, it's not about increasing their sales, It's all about vanity, ego and Bragging rights. "I have the very best petshop in Austin, It must be true because it's on the Internet." If the blog gets a top spot on Google, makes money for the owner or any other benefit that's gravy. Make them a big sign to hang up in their shop. AUSTIN's Very Best Pet Shop, AS SEEN ON THE INTERNET.

Get "TheBest" .tv do youtube videos and you can even say "AS SEEN ON INTERNET TV."

They will never fail to pay your yearly fee because how could they let the VERY BEST be sold to their competitor.

Well there are two ways I've done it. Make no mistake this was not offered as a Business Plan. This was offered as a way to make $500 next week and that is what you asked for.

On reading your post again, I see you asked two questions. 1. How to make $500 next week and 2. How to make $500 a week. My answer is to question 1. However, you can do this every week.

WSO is definitly the quickest way. Instant pay pal cash. You could offer a service to people if you dont want to write a book.

My own opinion.

You could take any PLR product, put some nice graphics to it, put it up on a site, setup up the payment button and drive traffic to it.

Look for something that is hot now.

Another way (can be related) is to upsell or promote products as an affiliate.

There are different ways to get money online, but I like the fast and well done ones.

That is my opinion

CS scripts go on BHW as high as $500 a pop.

If yours is only halfway as good as other scripts...i would immediately go to BHW and sell, anywhere between $100 - $500. Cheezus, do it

If you want $500 by next week site flipping is the way to go. You have instant buyers on sitepoint.com and if you have unique content and a good domain you can sell them quickly. I do recommend also building long term sites that will grow and build you up a nice residual income. Find what works and keep duplicating it.

I made a thread a couple of days ago on how to make some extra "easy" "quick" money. Do not what happened to it.

You can try to post a WSO if you have something of value to offer. You can also offer a service of value if you don't have a product. Also you can make a post for your services in the Digital Point Forum and in the Site Point forums. Also look for other webmaster programs. You can do anything you set your mind to! Just create an effective and productive product or service, and the funds will find you! Hope this helps!

Let me add a few more ideas for you.

1) Now Christmas is over, what about selling off a few of your "unwanted presents" on Ebay. I bet if you looked in your attic/cellar/garage you would find other items to sell. Get them listed today and set to a 7 day auction and only accept payment by paypal, then you could have your money in 8 days time.

2)If you cant find enough of your own stuff to sell, then how about next offering to sell unwanted items that your family has for a percentage of the sale price. Of course you could extend this offer to friends and neighbours as well.

As time is short for you to raise the money you will not have the time to print fliers and distribute them, so you will have to telephone everyone advising them of your new enterprise.

3) Taking idea 2 a step further you could visit your local stores and see if they have any surplus stock that you can sell for them on the internet. Again charge them a percentage of the final sale price.

Just a few more ideas to throw into the pot!
