Flippa How to turn good sites.....

I like making websites in wordpress but have not had much success selling websites on flippa. I see some guys selling sites for 200-300 every other day with brand new sites any suggestions on how to go about selling sites like this.

Thanks Mark

What types of websites are you selling? Normally the people I see selling every day are generally ones that are autoblogs or movie review websites that are automated. There seems to be a few people on there doing that.

Take a look at the ones that do sell and determine what it is about the sites and the sales letters that is attracting buyers.

Go to Flippa and click on Just Sold tab to see what kind of sites are selling. Startups on Flippa aren't easy and don't usually go for a whole lot, but I've seen some of the PLR sites I sell selling on Flippa for $100-$297.

Example: this is one of PLR blogs

Selling on Flippa generally works better if you sell a network of websites instead of just a single one - for example sell 10 websites but aim for $500.

Yes, lately that's quite a trend ... put together 25-40 autoblogs and sell them. Some of them are quite ugly and some are less ugly, but they are all startups with zero traffic or revenue and are selling on Flippa for anywhere from $400 to $1200. Then they turn around, get new domain names and sell the identical sites over and over again.

There is a lot of factors that play in your site final sale. Remember that flippas buyers are not dumb and know how to do their due diligence when they are buying a site. Like Suzanne said above you have to actually go into their platform and look for the type of site you want to sell and see what they are selling for and take notes on the auction copy and everything. You want to do what the successful sellers are doing but better.

As for a network of site yes you can do that but I still find it hard to sell a network of sites that are new with no real stats. Just because it is a network of site does mean it is a deal. What is the difference between 1 new site earning 0 and 10 new sites earning 0? They both still earn 0. Now I have seen a network of sites earning at least $1 a day sell for like $1,500 or more. You can do that All day.I hope I was able to help

the main things that sell are traffic and revenue

    traffic is money

    and revenue is money

the niches are irrelevant as long as there's traffic and for there to be revenue - there has to be traffic -- there for traffic is money

I personally think it's worth developing sites until they make a bit of money and THEN selling them. Probably 90%+ sites on Flippa make zero money, so even if yours are making a little bit then you're already in the top 10%.

Also, don't forget other options for selling your site. We have sold a few just by creating a page on our high traffic sites for people interested in buying the site and avoided the Flippa fees.

It depends on what business plan you have.If you want to buy and sell or create and sell.Buying and selling is the quickest way to profit. Before you buy ask if the traffic is natural or not.Any joe shoe can redirect traffic to make it look like its natural and say the site gets 100k hits a month.Of course check rankings, ask why they are selling it and be sure the market for it is still good. Also add something to your site to make it better before you post your sale.

Making websites is still one of my favorite things to do. For me, I found using Flippa to build my mailing list to be the biggest benefit. Every once in a while I will list on Flippa simply to increase my BUYER subscribers...those subscribers turn into lifelong paying customers without paying for Flippa fees over and over again.

Usually many of those sellers will use Flippa as their selling platform and send their email subscribers directly to their listing at Flippa.

As Susan stated, you really need to look and study the "just sold" categories and really review the sales letter. There are some sellers that will throw in quite a bit of bonuses too. The successful sellers are also very prompt with their services and replies to their customers needs.

Many of your larger sellers have strong mailing list subscribers. Once your subscribers know and trust you, they will not hesitate to buy from you. So even when you list on Flippa or anywhere else, you will always want to be building a list of buyers looking for what you have to offer.

Hope this helps...best of luck, Leah

If your site is really good and is making money, then it will probably sell well on Flippa.
