Will This Idea Work?

Recently you just came up with an idea that you think is going to make you tons of money. You could possibly be set for the rest of your life.

You are excited for a few hours.

Then, something happens in your body and you think to yourself.. "this will never work".

So... you go back to the drawing board and come up with another bright idea....

or....

You stay excited for a few day.

You really know this is a great idea.....

So, you post your idea on a forum...

And sure enough...... there will be a few people who tell you how terrible your idea is. (of course there will be people telling you your idea is great, but most of the time you'll focus on the negative)

My Solution:
1. Don't tell anyone your idea at first
2. Put your idea into practice for 3 months
... If it works, you can ask the forum to help you improve upon it
... If it doesn't work, you can ask the forum to help you improve upon it.

Remember: People scoffed at the idea of selling bottled water. Why pay for bottled water when you can get it for free?

Warning:
Just make sure your idea:
1. won't bankrupt you and your family
2. is scalable
3. will not bore the crap out of you
4. will not make you neglect your family

  • Totally true. You need to muster up a considerable amount of personal strength and resilience, keep your largest ideas and goals to yourself and make them realities. Don't let others steal your dreams which they will each time they tell you why (in their experience) what you're doing will not work.
  • LOL... I have too many ideas!

    The real problem is knowing if those ideas will work for others?...cause if not the (4) bullets on the bottom, may come a' knocking and those first impressions can be a scar NOT so easily concealed.

    I like the idea several marketer's use, as did Napoleon Hill. Silently observing the reactions of his audience, and then extracting exactly what worked and what didn't.

    While I am 100% positive there are some 'genius ideas' sitting on the the ol' tool shed shelves (the minds) of several Warrior's, there comes a time when one must put the tools to the test.

    My problem is I have the tools, I have the ideas... what I lack is knowing; if the idea will 'resonate' and benefit the majority?

    ...So the answer is clear, put it into practice!

  • Totally agree man. I think one of the problems that keep people from actually implementing their ideas is trying to find the "perfect idea". So most people step over the good ideas to get to the perfect one. Of course, there is no perfect plan or idea and every one will have its flaws. It's all about not being afraid to take action and make mistakes.

    Uh-huh...

    Forget those ideas.

    You need to come up with ideas which benefit others so much that you will make tons of money (you hope.)

    Re telling others on forums etc. Why? Why would you discuss your new idea on a forum?

    I can't think of any reason you'd do that, ever.

    Wanting to discuss your "big" idea on a forum, or with friends and relatives, is a big clue that your idea is useless.

    I've never met anyone who had a great idea, and who put the idea into practice, who discussed the idea with anyone not directly involved.

    If you want to discuss your idea, DON'T. Instead, talk to your target market about what they need, and make sure that your idea will truly help them.

    Then go ahead -- take action.
