what warriors say about making money from internet radio show

hi warriors

Here's a great idea that I learned few months ago, and will be trying it soon myself.

It's a chance to do something that you love for free, help others and possibly make money all at the same time.

Have you ever thought about hosting your own radio show? If you have any experience with offline radio then you already know that it can be very expensive.

Now you can have your own FREE RADIO SHOW online. People of all interest groups are hosting free radio shows, You just need to sign up for free account in a radio show hosting ,and follow some simple instructions to get started.

radio shows are free for people to listen to but you can make money by advertising products on your show or obtaining sponsors.

this would be a great extension of your existing business and could be an excellent way of providing premium content to your customers or clients. Or you may even want to pursue this idea as a complete business plan in itself.

Either way, I think this is definitely an idea worth trying because it's free to start and offers a great deal of potential in attracting new customers and broadening your business.

what you think about it warrior ? if you did try it i would like to hear your experiece.

regards

Radio shows sounds a lot like a webinar from what you described.

Thing is, how are you going to get people to listen to your radio show? Building a list? Facebook?

    Ummmm... ehh? Radio Show?

Why would anyone do this in the day and age of.. let's say.. YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Someone tried to do it, it's called WebmasterRadio. Only about 3k people a month go to their site.

well i guess for the radio show people will get in touch with you in daily basis , they will hear your voice and thats alone build a huge trust between you and them , after a while they will beleive every single word you say

to harruhumphlike :every business needs to be advertised you get known , whether using facebook or any other way , but with radio once people know you they will stick with you especialy if you are offering a good informations

to pacelattin: i think people believe in radio speacker more than a youtube video because then can be in live touch with him and see the real person on him thats why conversion can be very high

i realy hope that somebody tried it before can tel us his experience

Even with the huge rise of video streaming, which is definitely a big step up from radio, people are obsessed with being able to access content whenever they feel like it, whether it be videos, podcasts, or written content. That's the nature and advantage of the web. This makes radio incredibly obsolete. Communication with content authors can still be made, thanks to social media.

I suppose it could work depending on your niche and how many people you already had on your list/facebook/twitter that you could direct that way. I do pretty well with Youtube and Podcasts. I did something similar a while back. I emailed my list and offered to do a live Q and A with them and they all seemed to like it a lot.

    Hi Bassem,

honestly, I don't really see it. You are talking about "premium content", but "premium content" = "premium work". Not just a little here and there; we're talking about a LOT of content. That means more workload than th eaverage little company can probably handle, and I doubt the results from limited reach will make up for it..

    Just my 2ct...

    Cheers,

bassem. it sounds more like you want people to pat you on the head and tell you you're brilliant rather than offer you honest feedback on your idea.

If you want to find out if it will work for you, quit yapping and start streaming...

hey JohnMcCabe, it may looks like that, but what i am looking for is just some reviews from experienced warriors in that business.

i never tried it and i don't know how much it will affect my business , i just felt that it could be nice to be in touch with your audience but without real reviews from people i can't start doing it

          nice fish cheers

In that case, you might want to check out this site:

Internet Radio | Create an Online Radio Show | Blog Talk Radio

There's at least one Warrior who has experience of hosting a show there.

But if you're looking to attract feedback from others with radio experience, you should perhaps consider changing your thread title from the current non specific question to one that more closely reflects what you're actually asking.

            Just a thought...

Why would people listen to your show when there are 1000s of radios out there?

Do you have any unique techniques on how to be unique and bring in a lot of listeners?

yes you can make youtube channel that promote your show and rank it higher, you can advertise it on facebook and twitter, start with some friends and colegues then expand to large public i believe and good content attract people like ants i've experienced this with many products and sites . if only few people know that you gve away good content , magicaly you''ll notice a significant rise in traffic with no effort in your part but patience
