Ok guys this has been bugging me a lot recently, the more I think about it the more it annoys me.like a bug

I have several sites in different market niches that need some SEO work.

Now the question is:

How do you outsource your SEO work without giving away your niche?

or: without your outsourcer STEALING your keywords then out ranking you!

PS. I am aware that a possible solution would be to do the work myself
but is there any way around this ?

Thank you guys!

As soon as you are indexed, you will be subject to competition by pros who will be working to outrank you. And they will find you.

Building a deeper, better site can solve that.

      Offering more value helps too.

There is a lot more to online marketing than seo, although seo is important.

And as stated, you can get a non-disclosure and non-compete clause signed, although that is no guarantee.

Don't let your concerns keep you from moving forward.

Good points, However a non-compete clause signed won't really do much
since you can anonymously outrank me.
see the thing is I outsource mostly everything now but this is the area where I feel uncomfortable.

I do SEO work all the time but, when you have 50+ sites that do need some work done, and about half of them are in pretty competitive niches,
your gonna have to get someone to do the dirty work for you.
but then it sounds risky because someone might steal your hard work.

Outsource some work to unique article writers, have those articles syndicated to gain 'targeted traffic' and use an All-in-one SEO plugin, assuming your sites are Wordpress based.

I wouldn't place too much emphasis on SEO, some of course, but if it's traffic your looking for, I'd look into article syndication.

It's pretty easy to do on page optimization yourself. Then you can buy link packages from reputable providers. That should solve your problem.

What I like to do is hire college students who aren't at all interested in internet marketing to write my content. I provide them a guide on how the content should be structured, tell them what (key)words to include in the text & then I simply outsource link building to a link building service.

Furthermore you can break up your tasks and split them between 2 or 3 VAs so no one has your complete system.

I think you are worrying about nothing. Most freelancers couldn't care less about your niche as they are doing what they want to do.

With the ease of reverse engineering a site now, anyone can come along and compete with you - and will.

      You're letting a non-issue hold you back.

    Hi Kal,

it's the same dilemma in every business: As soon as you need people to work for you, you need to give away information. A lawyer's secretary knows about his cases, a microsoft programmer knows what windows 9 will be about, your assistant will know who you are meeting somebody without your wife knowing

You can do a lot of paperwork to try to "legally" prevent this - at the end of the day, if somebody wants to talk about things they should not do, or wants to abuse this information for his own good, you cannot do anything about it.

Especially when it comes to "new" ideas, many people get nervous.

My approach: Get over it. Most people that you hire to "do a job" are not there to be a "businessman", but to do a job. You think the VA would not be able to find "top secret niches" himself if he wanted to? Of course, but he prefers to get paid and not have the bad dreams and worries that businespeople have.

So try to keep an eye open, but don't spent too much time worrying about this.

    Cheers,
    Rob Konrad

Worry is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but doesn't get you anywhere.

Don't worry about it. Nothing will be perfect. Charge ahead and outrun your competition. Out-innovate them. Outsmart them. Provide more value than they do. How well you do is up to you, not them!

With all the aspects involved in SEO, it's not really possible. If I were you, I would just learn to do it yourself. It's too valuable a skill not to. I outsourced a task once just to get an idea of what the outsourcing process was like, and the outsourcer didn't do everything I requested. I paid up front and couldn't get the money back. Fortunately, it didn't cost that much. The experience made me feel better about being hands on and doing stuff myself.
