Well, darn it all - there goes google again insisting that people using their engine have enjoyable experiences when doing so.

Not really surprised. There's always a new update around the corner with Google. Looks like this might suck for the people who depend on Adsense revenue.

I thought that this is already something they looked for...You mean I could have been giving my readers a terrible experience and making money off it this whole time?

Nothing here seems like news. They've been giving manual penalties to MFA sites for like 2 years now at least (Been an issue since X Factor at least). Seems like it's just giving ol' M Cutts something to rant about so that all the white hatters have something to talk about. Not that there's anything wrong with white hatters. Just saying.

My 2 cents. I'm not shocked/impressed/whatever reaction this is supposed to elate.

    Kindly,
    - Stephen

No surprise. And I figured they already penalized sites with an excessive amount of ads.

I think they are focusing on above the fold - so if ads are above content or in the content as many like to do - this is going to be a problem

the bots are going to tag how many ads are in the first third of the page

Sounds about right. Though I was under the impression that they've been doing this for awhile.

Which type of ads do they mean specifically? Are they just refering to adsense, adbrite, etc.. or do they mean affiliate links also?
