Need some advice for setting up a new website

Hi,

I am working on setting up a new website in my own country.
When I was checking the web I found this one: bradsdeals.com
I suppose this is website is custom build?
Or is this also possible with Joomla or Wordpress?
I know Wordpress quite wel,but I think Wordpress is the right software to use for a website like bradsdeals.com
Any advice is much appreciated.

Thank you very much for your time and helping me out.

Kind regards,
Richard

You could do that type of site with WordPress, but the site you referred to uses ASP.NET instead of PHP, so it is not a WordPress site. You might want to consider a full fledged CMS like Umbraco or DotNetNuke for that kind of site.

You could build a site like that quite easily in Wordpress, but it will need a lot of customization. You will probably want to go with a review theme too.

      Thank you for your replies.
In meanwhile I checked further on and I found this Coupon theme for Wordpress:
Coupon Script for Wordpress - CouponPress
I need to read al the features, but it could be a nice start.
More ideas for doing this with Wordpress are always welcome.

        Hi Richard,

There are definitely some good WP plug ins out there for something similar to the site you mention.

You may also want to check out some of the larger template websites to see if they sell something that more specifically suits your needs, more than WP plugins can offer.

You can do that in Wordpress. You may need a premium theme for that.

I did check some websites which offers WP templates, but they do not have the fuctionality what I am looking for.
And I also think there are no plugins to offer deals on WP sites.

You are essentially going to have to do some extensive customization on any theme you think would suit your site. There is hardly ever a 100% already made theme you can just install and be happy with. Most of the time you will have to find a theme similar to how you want your site to look, and then customize it. It may involve a little customization or a heck of a lot. If you aren't adept at customizing Wordpress themes to a huge extent, then you can hire someone to do it for you.

I think I need to contact a WP expert to discuss my needs and he or she can advice me what to do and help me with the customizations.
Maybe there are Warriors here who can help me.

If you are using CPanel, then go to Fantastico > Wordpress

Set up Wordpress and then install the theme. Done.

    20 min job.

Yeah that will work if you have a theme that is 100% the same as how you want your site to look.
