Hi Warriors,

I googled my niche + solo ads and I came across a $10 solo ad offer.

They state there is a 10% guaranteed click response rate -

Anyone heard of or done such a thing?

Thanks!

Have used it a few times but the verdict is still out as I didnt realize until too late that there was a bug in one of my scripts causing the solo ad to be worthless since no one could see the page any way...

Yeah, for $10 I'd say it's definitely worth a shot, as long as their email list has at least 100 people on it!

$10 sounds cheap. Normally I see them going for a minimum of $30 for 100 clicks. So nothing to lose I guess, to try and see what happens...

As others have said test and track

Do you already know what conversions to expect from a decent traffic source, and how well the marketing funnel converts leads into sales?

Oh, and I assume that you have a proven squeezepage to send the traffic to and it's not just a salespage.

Yes i agree with others in here, tis all about testing and tracking

I have spent $10 on ads before and also $700 on ads before, both have bought in some very good results. Also what Andrew was saying, get the most for your money by having a nice sales funnel in place.

One way you can track your link when advertising via solo ads or any other form of promotion is to pay for tracking software (google: "website link tracking")

Not certain I would try it. The conversions must not be very good or else it would be going for more.

I've used it. Not enough opt-ins to make it worth it. If it was as easy as spending ten bucks you'd see a lot more people running around with huge lists wouldn't you?

But it could be useful to test your sales funnel. See how many people subscribe to your list and click your links. Probably they won't buy but you can get a good idea if the site could make you money before spending big $$$ in more expensive and effective solo ads.

Ya, I just came across the same site looking for solo ad tracking. Did you ever end up trying it out?

        Hey,

Nope - I did not. From looking at other solos from reputable sellers, I just don't see how a $10 solo ad would be the best use of funds.

I don't think anyone is going to hold that against you... I don't know that I would do it either. Even though it's just 10 bucks, it's also all the time that you have to set up tracking, and 10 bucks doesn't change the fact that it could be frustrating if it doesn't work out.

I had a bad experience recently.

The promoter promised a solo ad to a 55k list for only 15 bucks.

Figuring what the hell, I tried it out.
Sure good thing I used bit.ly! This allowed me to track the referring clicks.
I then found out that the clicks weren't coming from that persons list at all.
they were coming from a safe list site, AND from a "paid to read site"
Needless to say, I DID get 3000+ clicks... BUT they were ALL USELESS as
a dead horse. Incentive traffic is probably the worst form of traffic you can get.

So, protect yourself and use bit.ly, and see where your clicks are coming from!

To put things in retrospect, you get what you pay for. It is only $10 and they guarantee so many clicks. But think about the quality of the traffic they're sending you. I mean just like what David said above about the incentive traffic site which pay less than a penny per click. They send you 100 clicks for 10 bucks and they only pay about a penny for those clicks. In the end you get the short end of the stick because they have a toolbar at the top of their page that is going to take them to another link and you just paid for a useless click.

You're much better off finding a reputable site for solo ads or doing ad swaps with people or better yet warriors on here. Anything with a price that low should raise some caution because there has to be some kind of catch which in this case is worthless traffic.

    Hope this helps.

Solo ads are a good way to go however you need to watch who you do solo ads with. Either know someone who has used the service or you have to bite the bullet and test it yourself. Just keep track of where and who you have used and your response rates. You;ll have a good system in place in no time

I used to know a site where people who were strapped for cash would read emails all day for say 5 cent an email. So, they were essentially trying to make money online. It was $15 per one thousand opened emails. So I sent out 10'000. It actually worked out really well, 1200 subscribers and 24 sales of a $27 OTO.

If you think out of the box, cheap traffic can be an excellent way to make fast, easy cash.

    Hi Christine,

Solo ads are a good way to build you a list fast.

Based on what I have tested, it seems like it is not converting that well.

All you need to do is make sure your emails are getting the desired amounts of clicks before spending over a thousand bucks for a solo ad. The way to do this is to simply purchase solo ads for less than $70. Get a few of these solo ads and test different titles and styles and then use the one with the highest click rate.

    Hope it helps...

  • Generally this type of ads are done through text ads exchange platforms and the clicks are coming but from uninterested people who want just to grab the email points to do their own advertising.
Yesterday I found 5 of these platform offering around 5K or 6K contacts, but I finally decided to leave

    See you,

when you want to buy solo ads, buy the exact amount of clicks. A vendor can boast they will blast your ad to 20.000+ subs or that your ad can convert xx %, but how if in fact only 13 opt-in and 3 really reads your emails?
