WordPress Template Suggestion

Hey everyone,
I want to build a local business niche site for just one niche specifically (ie plumbers in LA). The site will be extremely heavy on the content and very light on advertising. I plan to only permit 5-10 local business to advertise on the site. The wordpress directories that I have seen are very large and cover a huge number of niches. I am looking for something more smaller. Any and all help is appreciated!

    You'd probably get some better suggestions for local business themes specifically if you posted this is the offline sub-forum. In the main, you'll probably get just suggestions for mostly standard theme companies, like Woo, Gabfire, Elegant Themes, etc. Nothing wrong with them, but there are some people promoting some local business specific themes in Offline.

    If you can dig a bit of code, better learn Custom Post Types and create your own directory. Otherwise you'll have to rely on someone else's code - with WP updates and plugin updates you can find yourself struggling with a bad/non supported theme.

    Specific theme will probably cost you some extra money as in many cases they should be custom build... but, there are some good themes in main Wordpress Extend directory that has a header graphic which can be easily replaced... you can go with such a theme and find someone to build custom header for you, or you can make it yourself... also, I would think about going with fully generic theme...
