Over the last few years I have been using a product called slideshare which allows me to turn my powerpoint presentations into a movie I can embed in my pages like youtube etc.

In a recent release they have now allowed you to also add youtube videos into the presentations.

Last night I uploaded a generic video demonstration on youtube for one of my products and then got some affiliates to wrap there own testimonies etc around that video in a powerpoint presentation and they also included their own links.

What this new addition has done is take the power of video marketing with powerpoint presentations and created a whole new way of delivering it and also provided a way to help affiliates market my products with a new twist.

Want to see a sample of what it looks like. I made this quick test powerpoint and embeded a video of Matt Cutts.

Its nothing flashy but very interesting concept.

That's a great resource, Quentin.

The only downside is that you may lose visitors to clicks onto the Slideshow link rather than your affiliate links?? Or am i looking into it too deeply.

You can actually remove some of that when embedding on your site and yes probably to deep.

This reminds me of something I was going to do a while back, create YouTube videos so affiliates can upload them to video hosting sites with unique titles. This could be done with this software and also easily with Animoto.com etc.

Very good advice, I have used slideshare before to show one of the techniques I teach in my courses. now with video it is a completely new twist.

One thing I forgot to mention is there is a nice little slideshare plugin so you can add them easily to your wordpress blog. They can also be run full screen and made private.

With the affiliates I made it private so no one gets it unless I send them to the link.

Pretty nice all round when you look at it.

Thanks for the PM Peter and I will answer it in here so everyone can see.

Lots of people asked about uploading so it all looks good in full screen and how I do that is once I have finished my powerpoint I save as a pdf. This seems to make the presentation much better in full screen mode.

Try it on this presentation. In the bar at the bottom you will see some icons on the right. Hover over to see full screen mode. Just hit esc to exit full screen.

Awesome! I think the slideshare plugin can make it much more easier to add to your wordpress blog. The running full screen option makes it much better for presentations and makes privacy easier to handle. Check it out!
