Review my blog please!!!

Hey warriors!!!

I got into internet marketing just 2 months ago and i was hoping if you could showcase any mistakes or improvements my blog or strategy may have.

Site is in my signature.

My strategy is to post one article per week and offer the best info i can (meaning quality info)

i am taking the slow growth road, so i am only pursuing 15 backlinks per week from the top social bookmarking sites and article directories and i promote one or two click bank offer per article. my core strategy of course is seo, which i had a fifth position on Google for until the last day and now suddenly by site is at the second page.

also, lately i had a clickbank link as a banner, though i didn't get any clicks yet.

anyway, i still have a low number of visitors per day, and i am looking into different opinions into how i can improve my site.

having more than one sites is not option for because i am in the final year of uni studies and i simply don't have that much time to dedicate to internet marketing.

thank you.

Looks a little bland, also you haven't optimised it for any keywords?

Your blog looks nice and clean.

I think it would be better if you could post a sticky post in the home page above the recent post. Welcome your visitors, explain to them what your blog is about and what visitors can benefit by reading your blog.

Also you could probably add more links in your top menu navigation.

    Goodluck on your blog.

    Hi,

    I checked your blog and:
    1) there is a few backlinks -> try to focus on linkbuilding
    2) I would recommend to publish at least 2 articles per week
    3) you should also build backlinks to inner pages
    4) taget KWs which got at least 500 EXACT searches per month

    Hope I helped

I would recommend using a nice theme like the thesis theme to improve the look and feel of the blog

Your blog is really great. You have great informations and you seem genuine about your readers. Something I would have done differently however would be how you write your articles (you may actually test it out to see what converts better).

I believe if you were less "Informational like we're at News channel" and be more Conversational, it would be easier to stick with your audience.

If you're reading this forum, of course you're interested into learning about IM but you're sticking here because it is conversational and a lot of people have great stories. Like Jeff Walker says: stories make sell .

Just a quick tip on copywriting, however your blog will do very well once you have more visitor. Keep up the good work!

    How about more content?

Your site has no "eye-catcher". When I first open it I don't know where to start. I'd close pages such as this immediately!

Get a logo or at least some fine header banner.

You need to optimize your title tags. Try using Google Keyword Tool to get the best keywords to rank for.

    Summary:
Change your theme (buy one if necessary), make more content, reevaluate your title tags.

what do you mean by optimizing my title tags? i use all in one seo plugin to assign my tags, isnt that enough?

also, how do you know that? you looked at the html code of my website?

      thank you.

Optimize your title keywords by choosing a good search volume/competition ratio.

Sure all-in-on-seo is enough but what you write in the title matters the most.

aah yea i did that, but i need some work on that. i think that should come with experience.

I was choosing a ratio of approximately between 160-200 exact clicks and max 100000 seo competition according to market samurai.

now my site has a PR2 so i might try more competitive keywords.

let me now what you guys think.

          thank you.

It looks way too messy and plain at the same time. I would recommend sticking to two columns, and also changing the font to arial or verdana.

Plus, getting a custom header image will help a lot!

Basically at the moment there is too much text everywhere, which will make it hard for visitors to focus on the actual content.

I agree with what previous posters have said. I'd also add that the only article I've read is way to repetitive. It sounds as if it just written for keyword stuffing purposes. If I'd come for real info, I'd dismiss your site and move on.

Take this paragraph as an example:
A differentiation strategy will pursue a unique position among your competitors. The aim of the strategy is for the business to become unique in the minds of its customers. For this reason, a small businesses needs to create a product offering that is somehow unique. Uniqueness can be achieved through different factors like design or brand image, technology, customer service or other attractive features.
You could easily condense that into one, readable sentence, such as:
"For your business to be thought of as unique by your customers you need to differentiate yourself from the competition by........"

This isn't meant as a personal dig at you, but I'm getting to (think I) know that the instant someone says they are posting "quality" information what they actually mean is they are posting keyword stuffed, repetitive articles purely for seo purposes.

Your strategies are nice, but the impact of your blog is kind of low. I mean, it is quite of boring. Maybe you can pick up a nice theme that is also clean and simple. Also, you can publish more posts per week. So that readers will have something to look forward in your blog.

thanks a lot for the great reviews guys!

i do target keywords with market samurai but maybe i didnt do a good job at that department, i never tried to target keywords with more than 160 exact searches because i though competition was too high for me but i am going to try it.

About the quality of the content, the way i write may look messy because my first language is Greek (even though i study full time in uk)

i will definitely solve the problem of too much text everywhere. i think i will try adding a sticky post and a custom header image. I am trying to keep the blog simple and focus on actually helping people. maybe i will be adding images in each post too!

      thanks a lot again!

I personally would prefer more graphics or images whether on the site itself or in each individual post. Content is ok, but something really needs to catch people's attention.

The content is good but man what a boring site to look at....

Nice and clean yes but very dreary

Once you got a tidy theme and then you can start on the SEO :-)

    Hi Costasn,

I guess you need to invest some time (or money) to create a masthead of your site so that it doesn't looks plain.

    Cheers!

One good thing is that your content is unique. With time, you may have to change the theme and get one that will enable you monetize your effort, I mean being able to put banners even at the top. Keep publishing good content and building backlinks.

May I know how to find someone "signature"? Cos I want to see how Costasn's website look like, and i also want to add my own website there. I also have similar situation with Costasn, but i think mine case is worst than Costasn.

      Hi Lonepine,

The signature is just at the end of each post, immediately after the line that ran across the post.

      Hope that the above clarifies.

      Cheers!

    go to usercp-> edit signature

ad the anchor code to your url link-> there is a chain (lookalike) link that lets you add the url to any word you write.

    thank you.
