I need ASP.NET hosting and am looking for your input.

Any favorites? Companies you have had good experiences with?

Your help is greatly appreciated. Tanx!

I haven't used Windows hosting myself, but help with an organization that does. They are really happy with Hosting.com :: Managed Hosting, Dedicated Servers, and Cloud Hosting.

I checked the site out one day and was impressed. The domain name is impressive enough, but of course that's not a deciding factor. Everything on the site seemed professional, with a great attitude.

The org I help with has several large sites and up time is very important to them. They have been really happy with hosting.com.

DiscountASP.net is very good and I also recommend WinHost.com - I've used them both and they're very reliable

Host Gator also has windows servers - they put one of my domains on their win servers when I requested a plan with classic ASP. (I've also used DiscountASP.net in years past, and had no complaints).

      Hope that helps..

I am using BRINKSTER now. OK so far it is working out for me. They have both ASP.net and the classic one. Still have a lot of old code from the 90's that we like to use. Perhaps I should convert it all to PHP soon. Then again, if it ain't broke, fix it until it is.

It depends if you are going to use shared hosting? If that's the case most of the shared hosting allows only "Medium Trust". You will have trouble running certain applications like CMS, SQL Lite to name a few.

I have used GoDaddy for a while now, no complaints so far.

DiscountASP.NET comes with 30 money back guarantee. If I remember correctly they do offer "Full Trust" hosting. Also if you want to change the domain for the hosting you will have to pay $15.00. If you ask for the change within 30 days of buying they will waive it off, if you request. They did it for me.

What are you mainly using it for?

I think I'll probably take a look at DiscountASP.NET and then possibly the other suggestions.

I have a .NET web application that uses SQL server databases. I had thought about possibly re-writing it using PHP with MySQL databases, but it just sounds like more work than I want to take on right now.

I use HostingSource.com and they are awesome. I have had a dedicated server with them for going on two years. They have gone above and beyond for me.

I have used winhost.com. Boasts of everything you would need in a wndows host. Offers PHP 5 also.

Little pricey, but I use Amazon AWS. Get your own Windows VM, do what you like
